My Fucked Up Family

  1. okay, so here it goes.

my younger brother whos a sophmore in highschool smokes the herb. I myself do too. I didnt start smoking until my junior year in highschool, and now, sophmore in college, i still smoke daily. My mom is very anti weed, my dad wasn't really with me since i kept it pretty well hidden. My parents accept the fact that I smoke and it doesnt bother them a whole lot because I get good grades.
My younger brother and my parents have been non stop arguing for the past year over weed. They say that if he doesnt stop smoking, they wouldn't let him get his license, they wouldn't pay for his cell phone, won't let him hold his self earned money etc.

The twist that comes into the story is that a few weeks ago, my brother found 2 pipes hidden in my dads tool chest. My brother tried to talk to my dad about it, but he just said that one of his friends must have left them there when he had a party a long time ago.

So my brother told my parents that he will not stop smoking weed. and the arguing continues.....

What can I do to help out my brother? I just dont want to see his highschool life ruined by my hypocritical dad.

    help me out city

  2. How about he just stops smoking?

  3. Thats what i told him to do. Stop or smoke only very occasionally. But after he found my dads pipes thats some bullshit.

  4. Or he could do what every other teen does and do it behind their backs. There's no reason for them to know ;).

  5. they can drug test him?

  6. Why was he looking through your dads tool chest? And maybe your dad was telling the truth. Anyways, the fact is, they are the adults, and he is a child. He needs to learn how to deal with that or face the consequences.

  8. this seems like the obvious answer.

  9. yeah its hypocritical but your brother lives under their roof, they support him, keep him clothed and sheltered. Least he can do is respect their rules, plus they're probably just trying to keep him safe.
Tell him to stop buying personal stashes, pipes, or any other related things for awhile, he's the only one who can stop making his life suck
