Good morning all my 420 family ! Wake and bake fam.. My first are growing two diff sizzles and I feel like that isn't normal at all for her to grow like this..did I mess her up in some way for it to grow like this at some point or something ? And my light schedule got thrown off last night will that mess up her growth or can I just continue with my 18/6 light cycle ? Because of the way I started growing her and the limited amount of funds I have-I don't have any nutes to give her so I'm goin to grow her without them to see wat happens..or are there any places that have cheap nutes I can use or something things around the house I can use..something ?!?! Using nutes come after the first tries leaves are fully grown ? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
What is that you are growing it in? Is that the seed husk still attached there (the brownish looking thing)? It is hard to tell because of the blurry pics. A couple things I can see is that isn't a proper container for growing a cannabis plant and you need to get some sort of aeration into whatever that is you are using. Looks like it could be compost or just really black dirt. If it is compost you will not need any nutes for as much as a couple months. A rich black dirt will get you a good month in without using any nutes. Even if you are going to force feed you wouldn't start that until the 2nd week or you can start about the time the little round leaves (cotyledons) start to yellow. I like to wait for the round leaves to yellow because I prefer to wait for the plant to show it is hungry before trying to feed it. Edit: This is what they should look like once they have opened up but the opening up process can take a day or so.
The brown looking thing is the cotyledon leaf-it keep changing colors-it's actually brown on the tips and green on the inner parts... Is like a clear but blurry looking plastic flower pot..should I change it to something else.. I will wait til they turn yellow to feed them..what do I use -I don't have much money right now to buy anything is there something else I can use.. And I am using regular dirt (SADLY) and zephyrhills water and filtered water out my fridge from the Brita water filter thingy.. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Oh ok the angle made it look like a bowl sorry for the confusion... Normally don't want clear containers because roots don't care for lights really. That round leaf shouldn't be brown and something does appear to be wrong for lack of a better word. Hopefully you have more seeds in case this one isn't good genetics. I use espoma plant tone when I mix up my soil. It is $10 for a good amount at WalMart. Get some perlite to add to that dirt, maybe some peat. I use peat, compost, and perlite as my base mix then add a bunch of stuff to it to enrich it with nutrients and beneficial microbes.
So can I transport it to something else or will that completely kill the plant ? Adding those will help my plant I will be getting those next time I get money for sure..thank you so much The cotyledons change colors often to me when I look at it..I've seen brown green yellow and I believe a little black but I'm not really sure..it looks like one of my first true leaves got ate by something and it's another one growing in.. And sadly no I don't have any more seeds my others seeds didn't sprout at all the other seeds turned completely black.. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I think if you could get peat, perlite, and some kind of compost or earth worm castings in the next couple days it may be worth trying to pull it out now before the roots get too established and try to gently move it to better soil. If it does live it is likely that it will grow very slowly until it is in better soil. It sounds like that dirt may be too acidic or alkaline because that pic really shows some unhealthy cotyledons. They shouldn't be yellow / brown / deadish looking like that they should be green at this stage.
Thank you so much I really appreciate your help.. I will do my best to get some better soil this week for sure and change pots..I hope she makes it and starts looking better..and I know they shouldn't be looking like that-they're green on the inside but the outside looks horrible..I knew something was wrong..
