Ive been doing a lot of research lately as im fairly new to this and im wondering if what Ill be doing is right. Im going to germ 5 seeds using the paper towel method and plant each in a party cup using FF Happy Frog soil (adding perlite?) root facing down. Since Im running on a tight budget at the moment and cant afford CFLs and fans so im hoping i can just put them in a propagator with open windows for venting in a semi shady place outside and check them every day for dry dirt for about 3 weeks. Then plant them in the forest around chicken wire until they are big enough to be on their own. is there anything i should change?
lol id put them in pots instead of some plastic cups, its gonna mess up your plant and it wont get tall because your roots are not gonna have no where to grow in a tiny little cup.
Hey fourleaf if you mean SOLO pong cups then those will be fine for the first 3 weeks, IMO it's actually better to let the roots completely fill up the first container and then get transplanted. This method will lead to EXPLOSIVE growth after the transplant. good luck.
I've used solo cups for years. As long as you water correctly, and you uppot @ the first sign of rootbinding you will be golden.
