Ok so I’ve two indica dominat plants under 760watt. They are in 3gallon pots. There 4weeks from breaking soil. I’m going to install my scrog this week. I think the plants are ready. I was planning on doing a 8week veg, will there still be a need for this long? Also do I weave the branch in and out trough the screen, or keep tucking under the screen alowing the new grow spots to rise up trough? Thanks for any advice in advance
Sweet thanks I wasn’t sure about that. I was going to make it tomorrow, just going to make a frame out of 2x2 and then find a mesh screen with 2inch squares and screw it on top. Do you think it’s ready to scrog?
It all depends on how high you set you screen. You are at a point where you can certainly start thinking about it. I have scrogged in a 3x3 but not a 2x2. Anytime is ok from here on out.
I might try the 3x3 then, this is my first grow so I’m taking all advice onboard and making a little journal for myself ha
I have a scrog journal it is old as I do not grow this way now but it may be useful to you if you are interested.
I’m using a 3x3 tent so hopefully I could cut two weeks of my oringal plant of 8week veg. I’ll remember that though. Just had a look trough the pictures from your journal. It looks great. Will have a read tomorrow it’s way past my bed time haha
super easy just get 1/2 inch pvc pipes from the hardware store and four elbows the pipe cuts easy with a hacksaw also the pvc pipe is cheap . It also cleans real easy with some rubbing alcohol between grows so its reusable over and over again
Ok so I took on the advice and went to the local plumbing store. He didn’t the a Elbow joint, just a t. So I had to improvise to for the legs. It’s not the best job but it’ll do. I ran out of line so I’ll get some tomorrow and put it in. I’ve another question, is it ok for the screen to be lower than the plant when you put it in first? Start scrogging straight away like
Yeah you can push the screen down on the plant, I often do. Yeah that's the problem with using cord. It needs to be super tight to stay rigid and that plastic pipe bends too easily. Wood would've probably been a better option.. I use steel mesh screen as its nice and rigid
Ok so they been in the scrog for about a week now. Not sure if I’m getting the hang of it. I know my ‘net’ is shit but I don’t really care
What’s up @Daidbobby Not bad first time. Did you glue those pipe fittings? Or just duct tape? Remember the plant Will be pushing on the screen. The tape will make it flexible. You want it tight for best results I don’t scrog. You can achieve the same thing IMO by training and LST Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @ I love growing weed
I can't really tell because of the light but it looks like you might have some "below ground" problems going on. It looks like your leaves are discoloured. This usually indicates a nutrient or moisture fault.. I could be wrong though, the light makes it hard to pick out colour As far as the screen goes though, it looks great
