Hey people of grasscity, i just started my grow. and figured i would share with the world what im doing since i cant tell anyone around here. for legal purposes. but anyways i have a 400 watt MH and my babies are in pots with soil and rocks for drainage this first one is low budget so no hydro system unless someone on here has an idea for how i can make a cheap one for like 20 or 30 bucks but the second grow is gonna be hydro for sure, i am a newb so if u have any advice or comments feel free to speak ur mind.
hi and welcome to GC. lets start off by getting a full description of your grow. how is your room set up, pics how is your ventalation what is your soil do you have a ph tester, whats your ph what strain are you growing, were did you get the seeds, etc etc the more we see the more we can help your first grow be a success.
Well thank you for the warm welcome. This grow is actually my buddy's and mine I know I said I a lot. We just managed to get hooked up with a hydro system, It is gonna be home made, but as long as it functions right. Our soil i have no idea what kind it is. Our grow room is a bathroom tub area as you can see on the pictures. We have it open really no way to keep all the light in with out some major construction. After one or two grows maybe. We mean its good its not to in closed because heat and ventilation are not a problem. Well have a look at the pictures, and tell me what you think for starting this completly on hand me downs, Our seeds are just bag seed out of some good middies. No ph tester though any ideas on where i could pick one up cheap and not over the internet. Again thank you for the welcome.

i took some new pics better ones close ups of our babies tell me what you think, do they look healthy. and one is kind of deformed but we think their lookin good, should have the hydro set up on tuesday or wedsday we will prolly post more pics then but until then any advice on nutes, we are currently using fox farm grow bug like less than a quarter teaspoon per 2 quarts,can we still use it if we grow hydro?
We now have a Hydro system. Cheap but it works so far. Some of the plants have a small problem with the ends of the leaves curling under and in. I hope they are not dying. If growing them to start in soil and changing them into a hydro system, is it going to kill them? We have them inside 6inch planting pots with many holes, lava rocks, we got the ph tester at Wal-Mart. We got the pump from a friend and 2 rubbermaid totes. So far we are happy and hope progress keeps going. Pictures tomorrow.
