ive posted somequestions about my grow but now my plants are in the ground and seem to be doing good. ok this is my first indoor grow, ive grown lants outdoor with GREAT success. im in high school and i was recently given a bare growbox. i did a little reserch and decided that instead of just giving it away should try growing. heres me setup growbox- 2'X1.5'X4' (i know its small)-free two 6" computer fans-free one 4" computer fan-free one 250 watt floralux hps w/ mh conversion bulb- 250$ timer- 15$ thermometer-20$ soil and organic ferts-100 $ so i have put in a little money but i dont really care i love growing. i dont know what it is about it my freinds always say wow man why dont you sell but i dont want to. i just want to grow. anyways its set up like this i have one 6" fan as exaust with ducting to the light so it stays fairly cool. i have one 4" fan as my circulating fan. i have a 4" hole towards the bottom for my intake . myb light hangs and its on chains so i can adjust it. my soil is and organinc soil recipe that i got online its like 50% soil 40% perlite and 10% worm castings theres diffrent ingredients for diffrent stages of growth heres some of them- bone meal kelp meal blood meal green sand bat guano gypsum. so today is the 8th day since i planted them into soil. they look pretty healthy. ill be posting pics when i can. i have 5 little plants. this box is at my dads house but i live with my mom in a diffrent city. i made him a deal if he waters the plants and lets me keep them at his house then ill give him half of whatever is grown. because i live in a diffrent city and i go to school everyday and work quite a bit i can usually only make it over there every other day so ill be updating this everytime i go over there. this is what im not so sure about. i think im set on growing them till there about a foot tall and lst them and what not but with my limited space i can only grow two. i plan on using 2 gallon rubbermaid containers so they dont take up alot of verticle space. well im prett sure thats it. i want this crop to turn out good so any critizing or help will be greatly appreciated.
these are the babies at a 8 days. im not sure what strain they are. i used some seeds from sweet purple and a couple bag seeds.
if your going to lst them now is the time to start some people start at the 3rd set of leaves others start at the 5th but the thinner the stem when you first start the better as it will bend easier
13 days in the soil. just topped and LSTed them for the first time. one has a little yellowing in the leaves but its not too bad. they are in 4" pots right now. when should i upgrade to bigger pots? im thinking about watering them with organic sugar and water solution but idk. comments please
the ones on the right in the first pic u took of them look good, theres a little runt but shes deffinately a cutie. they look a lot like mine when mine were that age... mine are at 19 days rite now.. good luck man. keep up the good grow.. what lights are u using?
im using a 250 watt floralux with a metal halide conversion bulb. my ventilation is such so that i can keep the light about 8 inches away from the tops of the plants. yea that one runt was weird its leaves were like fused together when it first sprouted but i split them apart. its doing good now almost the same size as the others.
heres the babies at 3 weeks. i tie them down every third day and i switched them into 6 inch pots from 4 inch pots. my dad snipped some shade leaves off and i was afraid it would stunt their growth but i think it actually might have helped them. in about a week or so im gonna switch them into some containers that are bigger. them probly a week or two after that its gonna be time for flowering.
thank you. i have VERY limited verticle grow room. a little less than 2 feet so i wanna keep them as far down as possible. and yea hes not really like a dad. hes more like a 40 year old brother. i have an idea that i might try out. if i do ill post pics. it may be a new way to conserve on verticle growspace. i have work tomarrow so i wont be able to make it over but the next day ill update pictures.
heres the little ones at 3 and half weeks. i tried to lst them but i had to leave on short notice so i only tied down 3 on the left. i dont know what to do. i want to get rid of a couple plants and get bigger pots to start flowering but i dont know what size pots i need. how many gallons does a 10" pot hold. how about a 12". when will i know which are males and which are females?
ok these are the babys at just about 6 weeks. i decided to try the srog method. my dad keeps trimming the leaves even though ive told him not too. they dont seem to be effected by ith though. i have one question. they havnt grown much. i just transplanted them about a week ago from 6 inch pots to these three gallon grow bags. what can i do to make them grow. if i were to switch to 12/12 what do you think the yeild would be?
you need to give them time. have you started feeding them any ferts yet? and if you were to flower now, you'd probably end up with a little less than an oz per plant...

Im sorry to say this but go buy these bulbs (they come in a 2 pack for 16 bucks or one pack for 8) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=5684723 if you ahve 2-3 of these you can grow 3-4 plants. In that small space your HID lights will kill your plants with heat, these fluorescents will put out a good light (2700 lumens each).
um..... the light isnt the problem. its only a 250 watt. i have extrememly good ventilation and i have a steady flow of air right over the tops of the plants. my temp stays around 75-78. im pretty sure those are ideal temps. so yea.
