My first grow!

Discussion in 'Micro Grows' started by Rivera, May 5, 2016.

  1. Growing in my closet right now on day 2 under a single 100 watt cfl daylight bulb.
In a little trash bin (not used lol) a clamp light and little desktop fan, miracle gro seeds starting soil. Keep in mind I've never done this before and I'm not really trying to go all out , I'm just working with the bare minimum .

I'll be posting the updates daily, so I'm mainly doing this because I'm open to advice and want to make sure this baby survives.

When should I transfer it to a new pot, and different soil? I was thinking of using fox Farms.

  2. It will grow fine that stuff has very little nutes in it . More petlite wouldn't be bad though

hate to burst your bubble but that's only 23 actual watts, but i guess reading the box is too hard for some people. you're gonna need 5 of those ;)

  4. and you're using miracle grow, if that stuff is pumped with mg nutes you're doomed to burns

  5. How about you try not being a condescending prick to beginners? Might not be within your capacity, but you can actually help people out in a constructive way instead of being a cunt.

  7. Don't be a prick. And hate to burst your bubble but for one seedling at 1 ft away, he won't need another light for atleast 2 weeks, and can finish the grow with 4, as long as there a foot or under away. When growing with cfls you use lumen distance since the wattage rule doesn't apply. Also seedlings need very little light. I would recommend getting another 3 cfls by the end, and since cfls can't use the wattage rule here's a tip I used in the beginning that was a godsend.... 3000 lumens per sq ft will grow cannabis, successful grows with decent yield have atleast 6000.

  8. For your grow I wouldn't transplant, the bigger the pot the bigger the root ball. The bigger the plant, I've grown 5 ft tall plants in 5 gallon pots indoors.. they get bushy and hard to maintain. For my personal grow I use 4 inch sq pots so close to your size but my plants still get huge. If room isn't a matter than go big or go home but if your trying to be stealthy smaller pots are key

  9. Thanks bud. Don't understand why people feel the need to bash. I've been on GC since 2011 so I'm use to it lol.

Also your plants are looking sexy man!
My set up is kinda iffy right now so I've let it chill by the window for a few days she's looking nice [IMG]

Changed the container because it was starting to fall apart, I think I'm in trouble cause when I moved it to a new pot I broke the stem and it was still holding on by a thread so I supported it with a bag tie and then covered more soil around it to support it. Ever since it looks weaker and drooping I think I definitely over watered and the broken stem can't help . Could be doomed but maybe someone can help
