My first grow, South Africa, Durban Poison (maybe)

Discussion in 'Outdoor Grow Journals' started by OkayOK, Nov 5, 2018.

  1. ooh, got any literature on the crossover method?

main stalk looks good, looks like the bottom two stems have healed as well - they looked precarious in one of the pics.

  2. Nah, a member on this forum suggested it to a person who had multiple stem splits. I cannot find the post here. The plant is expendable, I germinated way over 12, and legally it is suggested that you don't exceed 4 plants so was planning on mulling the least healthy when sexed.

The bottom two are not 100%, might use rods for support

  3. Day 66: the cracks are healing well, plant is doing well. Did a good check on the leaves for any pests and nothing. I have not had to use anything as yet to avoid insects, so in that sense this is very organic View attachment 2542265 IMG_20181207_084026.jpg IMG_20181207_084113.jpg

  4. Day 68: this plant is now growing so fast. I am unsure how I am going to accommodate the roots as the pot it's in now is showing signs that it needs a transplant.

I have picked up some signs of pests, including a little white spider. This is the first time that pests have attacked my plant. We have just had minor floods so she is a little over watered. 5. As much as I hate spiders they're there because you have other bugs present and they're hunting! That spider looks like the web kind and not the mobile hunter kind so he may stick around and catch some stuff. Outdoor grows love spiders, ladybugs, and lace wing. The downside is they leave after all the pests are gone, which is still a win for you lol

  6. Just applied neem oil to my baby and also to the rest of my crop of various strains that are less of a way along. Everything is showing signs of bug activity IMG_20181211_161505.jpg IMG_20181211_161633.jpg IMG_20181211_161645.jpg IMG_20181211_161648.jpg IMG_20181211_161651.jpg IMG_20181211_161657.jpg IMG_20181211_161706.jpg

  7. Roots growing out the top on the soil is really getting me down. I keep topping up the soil and it keeps breaking through. I have pulled down the side of the fabric bag, and the soil is not root bound.

    What must I do? IMG_20181212_154952.jpg

  8. Some advise please, the nuts that I have says that it should be given to plants every 5 weeks, and I have been giving it weekly, no ill effects. Must I continue as I have?

  9. Day 75: time for a transplant, I hope the last because all this soil is breaking the bank. I decided to use a grain bag as the budget is depleted, and this is what a old hippy used that use to live next door to. Her and her stuff was damn good.

    No other major issues IMG_20181217_133046.jpg IMG_20181217_133121.jpg IMG_20181217_133126.jpg IMG_20181217_133203.jpg IMG_20181217_133825.jpg

  10. do grain bags breathe like smart pots? i have no idea just asking

  11. Proberly not, but when I gave her water, the water seeps out the side, so it must breath more than a plastic pot. It is basically weaved plastic ribbon

  13. Yeah, did that today, mulch it up and stick it in the soil.

Also planted my dogs weed. He was born without joints in his back legs and hips. The vet prescribed weed for pain control which I can collect from the Police, but all that confiscated stuff if proberly cut with other narcs

I have planted two skunks for him, and will make a tincture for him which will be easier to dose when he is in pain IMG_20181217_173302.jpg

  14. My dogs weed is planted in the ground, and will not overly care for it. Just some nuts until it's done and killing if it's male
