ok im not going to be using pots so i dug a flower bed type thing and threw all the soil tht came out of the hole away and replaced it with good potting soil. is tht what i was supposed to do? also i put cynderblocks over the bed so it will look less conspicuous. the holes are facing down so tht its like each plant will have a little concrete wall around it. is this ok? another thing. my seeds are currently germinating. when they crack and i see the root is it ok if i stick them directly in the ground instead of sticking them in cups for a few weeks?
