My first grow has begun!

  1. So now that my dad knows im a regular smoker I have new things to try such as growing!!! I have 3 plants that are up and sprouted now, all of which sprouted between 3-4 days ago. My question about them is I read that purple stems isnt good when they are small and I also think it would be because I'm using the organic miracle grow soil which will be out of there today, going with black gold. But anyways just wanted to post some pics to see what you guys thought and give you an upate! The first 2 are each under a 24w daylight CFL and the one that looks a bit taller is under a 42w soft cfl.

Disclaimer: None of this is real, its all in your mind.

  2. those look too lush for seedlings... you might have trouble getting them to vegetate well

  3. to lush?

  4. yeah, they look fine to me Atom, I wouldn't worry about the stems. Good luck with the grow;)

  5. any comments anyone?

  6. yeah atom, your not far enough into your grow to be able to tell anything by the plants color.... they look absolutley fine and healthy to me, and why are you pulling them out of MG Organic? IMO its a great soil.

  7. Organic Miracle Gro is fine soil, what you want to stay away from is the Miracle Gro soil that has time released fertilizer in it, but if you knew that and it's what you want, go for it.

  8. those babies are lookin good

  9. I was staying away from MG soil because I read that now matter what it does even the organic has the ferts that are auto released, maybe I will keep them in this though see how they do, I have one more question, on one of them (plant 3) the leaves are already double that side but they are completely like dark purple, it doesnt look like anything is wrong it looks super healthy striving for the light and stuff its just very very purple, what could it be?

  10. The soil i use is pro mix it has pretty much nothing in it so i dont have to worry. Plus it drys out nice and fluffy so your plants get good oxygen flow to the roots
