As the title says its my first grow, ever. So any help from experienced growers would be gratefully appreciated. I'm using 2 2700k CFLs one is 13w 40w eq (I think) 900 lumens and a bigger one 23w 1600 lumens. Then I have 2 basic fluorescent tubes each 40 of cool white light(I'm assuming 6500k, but they don't say. They look yellow in the pictures but they're not. I also have an air purifier if it'll help, tomorrow I'm going to get some 6500k CFLs cuz I'm vegging as you can see. I plan to leave these in there original containers as to keep them smaller and more compact. I'm using bagseed BTW and have no idea what strain, this is for personal practice and use, before I spend any extra cash from a seed bank. My daytime humidity and temp is attached as an image, at night it drops about 10f humidity stays about the same. Again any help would be great. Update: Just just off both 2700k cfls and left on 6500k fluorescent tubes, also moved the plants about 2 in. away from the tubes, and turned on the air purifier. Was this a good call? Or not? Idk that's why I'm posting here.
its best to have flourescents as close as you can without burning .keeping containers small restrict routes and all growth is smaller your best bet use organic soil in 5 gallon containers get a 1000 or less halide and get pro results. keep lights close enough to make soil 80 degrees and youll do muich better
Thanks for the reply guys, im going to pick up some 2 gallon buckets instead of a 5 only because I need to keep it small because I have limited space, and that also means I can't use HID bulbs due to ventilation issues. I have to stick with CFLs, at least for this grow.I know I have to have drainage, the only one that doesn't is the one in the glass jar, but that doesn't matter because I'm getting pots tomorrow. @[member="elliot6t baker"] Do you have to use 5 gallon pots, or will 2 be enough. You also need to get rid of the glass jars. They let light in to the roots and kill them Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
So my power shut off along with my lights for like a half an hour, the lights had been on roughly 13hrs and we quickly got the power back on, but will that affect my grow cycle now? Like restart it, I know the dark period restarts when exposed to light, but vise versa? Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
As long as you get back to your regular lighting schedule right away, you shouldn't see any problems. It might have stresses the plants a bit, but nothing to worry about. As for the size of pots, 2 gal is probably fine, but 5 gal will allow you to get bigger plants in the end.
Don't water until the soil is completely dry from the last watering... when you think its dry enough, its not, wait longer
If size is an issue looking into low stress training or a scrog. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
A scrog involves low stress training with a screen, since your bending and manipulating the plant to grow a certain way. You can do the same thing without the screen it's all a matter of personal preference. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Some stuff I bought today for my plants. It includes 4 20w daylight CFLs, 3 pots, 3 soil moisture gauges(wormies), 3 auto release plant watering bulbs, wall outlet timer, plant food(npk 1:1:1), and organic fert soil. More TLC = More THC
I started my first indoor AF Bubblelicious grow yesterday and could use any help or advice: http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/1300725-my-first-personal-indoor-autoflower-grow-need-help-please-pics.html#entry19947780
