I have one female mother plant I've been raising just for a learning experience. It is supposed to be OG Kush x Bubblegum. I got the clones from a local dispensary here in CA. Anyway, lately I noticed the plant was sick as hell and I finally figured out it had these little black spider mites on it and I started trying to treat it for them. I took off most of the damaged leaves and sprayed the hell out of it. In my observation I noticed one large seed pod where a preflower is, and another much smaller one elsewhere on the plant. I picked them off and threw them away. Does this mean my plant has turned hermie? It has been under 24/7 fl. light. Will any clones from this plant also be hermie? Or was my plant just stressed and it made a couple of seeds? Can anyone explain what happened? The mite attack was pretty bad btw. They were making webs across leaves and looked like quite a few of them.
That was probably not a seed pod. If you are still in 24/7, I don't see how it could be. It is probably a male preflower, which would signal that it is a hermie.
How many seeds will a hermaphrodite produce? Will the buds be full of seeds? I picked off round pods. Three of them to be exact. I broke them open and they had a pod inside. Looked like a seed. My other clone does not have balls on it. How does a plant get hermie? Stress? Funny thing, the "true" female is growing faster and better than the hermie. This is weird. Thanks for the help. LAKush
