My dual hose A/C is sucking out all my CO2 !!

  1. Hey guys,

Just upgraded to include bottled CO2 with PPM monitor and controller, in my 7x6x6 room.

Problem is I have a portable 12000 BTU Dual Hose A/C unit which dusted both of my 25 lb tanks in 4 days. The room is sealed...NO LEAKS.

The dual hose models are supposed to draw outside air through the motor and exhaust that air externally (which it does nicely). When the exhaust compressor turns on though, it creates negative pressure and sucks a good deal of the room air through the exhaust. I've taped the hoses and made sure the connections are selaed....Im really pissed as I spent the extra dough to get the dual hose model as the single hose models use the rooms air to cool and exhaust.

Can anyone recommend a solution or a good portable A/c unit that WONT use up all my CO2? Or maybe even a small wall unit that wont suck that air out of the room?

thanks for your help all, I appreciate it.

  2. ive been looking into all this and trying to figure out in fact if the dual hose a/c would not suck the air out of the room. I'm gonna start my grow soon and my flowering room is at about 85 degrees with the lights on and am looking at different ways to cool the (co2 enhanced) room... I cannot find a clear answer aywhere, just giving this thread a bump as I hope someone out there can shed some light on this?

    Thanks!!
