Ok so im sitting here on GC and im checking out some threads, replying and shit and my cat just comes up to hang out. I'm like cool, so he lays down next to my laptop and my legs. I don't have a clue why, but he always gets up and rubs his face against my laptop...like he is nuzzling it? Does anyone know why he does this? This is him. and i just took a picture of him doing it....WTF
Cats have scent glands on their face around the mouth, that cuddly rubbing cuteness, is really how they say "this is mine, only mine, and i own it, fuck you im a cat, and your laptop, and most of your legs are mine now"
hes spreading his scent. My cat always rubs her face against the corner of desks or anything pointy or even my legs.
does he rub the same side of his face on other things? my cat was doing that and we needed to have one of her teeth pulled.
AH that too, ive seen that happen a LOT. My cat and more than 1 friends cat had dental problems and they were rubbin all over shit like it was a rave or something i dunno. They were also acting more aggressive, and biting from the side that hurt like they were trying to signal it hurt them or something.
haha nah its not a tooth thing, he does it on both sides...its could be to get attention too, because whenever im on my laptop i use my right hand to move my mouse, and my left hand to pet him and when i stop he's like "hey wtf?"
but what he is really saying is "Hey, slave, i dont know if you remember, i rubbed my face on you, so you are my slave, get back on the head rub damnit" cause cats are really evil genus's in disguise.... and anyone who has/has had a cat knows it lol

Yes, cats are interesting what this is, is him/her rubbing its scent gland on the object basically claiming ownership the same way we claim ownership of property. Its his area, and noone elses. He rubs his head on you as well. Its called "Headbutting" If you ever see your cat constantly rubbing you. Especially with its head. It means hes claiming ownership of you. You are his. And noone elses except immediate confidantiallity to associates of that cat (brother,sister,mother,housemate)
cats do that shit all the time. cats high r funny as shit though. wen ever my cat decides to come in the garage wit me to smoke hell get high n just run around the house super fast and attack the air. n champ his food bowl. funny shit. if u leave a ham sandwhich out hell eat that shit right away. hes the man btw
i cant decide wether people are being serious or not with the scent gland thing. i dont want to google it either because im kind of afraid of what will come up....
