  2. first off see if you can save money by not getting a floppy drive i mean i havent used one of them in like 10 years.
I dont know if you know but it doesnt come wiht a monitor or mouse, i dont know if your trying to buy a whole system or not, also what brand is it ? if you dont mind me asking whats the site you got it from

  3. how much are you looking to spend? I could probably configure a better setup for you

  4. Its from Ibuypower.com Im trying to keep it around 1k. I need something to that will play HL2 and some of the newer games great. I already have a monitor and printer.

  5. www.newegg.com is great if u know how to build one or know someone that does..

  6. lol doesn't seem that "budget" to me.
It still costs a bit of cash.

But your setup sounds almost exactlly like what my setup will be eventually.

But I wanna do as much shit as possible when I buy a new comp.
For now sense the computer I have right now is pretty old I'm just going to probally buy some pre-made computer for up to $500 or so, it will be better then the computer I have right now and thats fine with me.

Computer shits always going down in prices as its being replaced by superior products. Thats the problem with computers, is by the time I have enough $ to buy the top of the line shit out there right now that stuff will be old and new stuff will be ontop of the market.

The market moves so quick! :p lol

  7. that isn't a bad set-up that you got right there actually.
Biggest weak point I can see is the graphics card. I'm all for spending as much money on graphics as you can, espically since this is going to be a gaming rig. Those things have made a lot of advances in the last year, so some of the not quite the best but almost cards are cheaper then ever... Maybe a bigger hard drive too, you can get a 120 gig for like 20 bucks more, maybe even less.

  8. i would go with something that has pci-x the 9600xt is good, but you will be able to get something a little better for your money. you might want it too, because all the next gen games are going to be crazy, i suggest waiting until prices come down that way you will be ready to play all the new games. because there is no way you will be able to play games like unreal tournament 2007 on a 9600xt. and if you do not feel like waiting get an overclocked card, something like the nVidia 6600gt, budget but packs a punch

  9. your such a gamer chris hahaa

  10. Yeah, I think im gonna wait until christmas, while stuff is cheap hopefully.
