So before my last harvest which wasn't very successful, I clipped the top of the plant off to try a clone experiment. So I rooted it, then repotted it into a bigger 3 gallon tub, and it took forever to grow. When it did, the leaves were all over the place, the leaf stems had between 1-4 leaves but it was growing slow but steady. Then it started growing hard to one side, no injury, no topping, no shock that I know of. So anyway I've got this little plant with some really nice little buds on it, probably harvest in a week, maybe two, but it's so different than any I've had. It does have ONE set of 5 leaves on a stem if you look hard enough. My son said it looks like a bonsai tree...
back in the day it was 'normal' for breeders to use GA3(gibberellic acid) to make femmed seeds, the side effect is mutated seedlings either in the next generation or like here much later, I should think many of us have grown these seeds, along with all the mutations associated Id still prop her up with a stake just for some correct hormonal growth but here ..looking good, good luck
Just a window plant? I assume you're a pretty new grower? If you are I'd be happy to help you if you want to pm me.
When you take a clone from a flowering plant: it will take awhile to recover :but if it goes back to vegetative growth, it will grow extra everything. the odd leaves are during its transition from flowering back to vegetative growth. when the 5 leaf grew it was back to veg growth. The term is "Monster clone" I believe. Its hard to get Marijuana to re-veg. Pretty good for a novice grower to get the clone to take. Reason being it lives a year. Vegetative growth is over 12 hours of light. once it hits 12 light and 12 dark it develops its reproductive properties and prepares to die. Nothing in the plant is prepared for any thing else so it does some crazy shit when it lives past death
