Hello Fellow Grasscity Folk My bud and I have been growing for 4 years non stop. We have taken care of many ommp patients but have never had a grow journal. Well its time I started one. I found this site the other day and love the plethora of info. I am more of the risk taker/experimenter/researcher while my counterpart is more the tenacious "lets do what works" type. I am always trying new things while the whole time I'm getting criticized and questioned. What better than a grow journal to save results and throw it all in his face (and hide the mistakes haha). Currently I need more lighting but right now in the flower room I have 2 1000 watt HPS horizontals and one 600 watt HPS vertical going. My veg side has 2 400 MH horizontals plus some help from the florescent light fixtures that are already there. They are there, why not use them right?? I went in tonight and supercropped the tops of the tallest flowering plants and I am moving all my veg into the flowering room tomorrow but not before cloning more . Also im putting up more panda film so both sides are white instead of just the one side on the flowering part of the room. Here they are, and ill be updating every step of the way. Let me know what you guys think and any advice would be awesome. Sorry for the unfocused pics, I forgot that i had my camera on manual focus instead of auto-focus for the nutes. Went to check out your grow journal after seeing your pictures of LaC - nice indoor grow. You have similar taste in bud as I do. What has been your favorite strain to grow and smoke?
My favorite strain to grow has got to be The Purps. I have never had never seen buds so super purple in my life. They were almost black. To smoke probably Blue Dream (which i have had the pleasure of and wish to grow again). Again very potent, tasted very nice, and great for anxiety and I had a blast with it. Alright, here is the new flower room. All the veg just got moved but not before cloning the next batch. I went ahead and moved both veg lights over as well until i get another couple of 1000 watt lights. All the new ones are in the front while the older ones are in the back in chronological order. Cant wait to get more lights. Here are the new babies
So here's an update on my grow. Its been upgraded to a 4400 watt grow as I have acquired a new 1000 watt hps last week. The girls are loving it! I took these pics just as the other half of the lights were warming up.
Here is a few pics of part of the Purp plant I cut down tonight. I absolutely love the super purple color. She totally stands out of the crowd. Unfortunately this was the only mature purp that was ready, but there are a few still on their way!
Love your pic of The Purps. Your bud looks similar to some I grew last year. I wonder if there is much of a difference in buds that are grown indoors compared to bud grown outside? Your plant room looks sweet. Interesting that you like blue dream - I have seedlings going right now.
Thanx bud! Yes this is probably the best unattached room I've ever had, fully insulated, mega heater for winter and climate is stabilized. They say indoor always wins compared to outdoor, although most don't shy away from outdoor grown in the "golden triangle" of Northern California. Most people I talk to always prefer indoor and people seem to talk about Oregon indoor across the nation like its the ultimate in quality. I say, if you know how to take care of them, anyone can get quality anywhere. Thats awesome you have seedlings of that stain. I'd love to grow that again, it turned out awesome.
Heres one of my new flowering purps. You can start to see the deep purple starting to show. Sad but true story, I gave a clone to a fellow OMMP grower and when he started to see this he thought it was bud rot or something terrible so he chopped it down. Only when he came over to check out my babies did he kick himself in the ass. Oh well, live and learn right?
This is the very first B-52 strain that I had the pleasure of growing and Im super stoked that it she is very very happy. Looking super healthy and everything. Im so happy!
This is my tallest. She isn't on a riser and is easily over 6ft. As you see, everything has been trimmed off the bottom and even tho I usually do that to prevent popcorn buds, this new batch of flowering plants had all gotten sick and were producing some terrible gnarly growths. Only when I added 1/4 tsp of epson salt/gal of water (i have a bad hard water issue) did they all come back green and healthy. Shes only 16 days into flowering
