And I thought I would post a couple pics of my new grow space that was much needed. I am keeping my new mother plants in there (Incredible Bulk and Himalayan Gold) as well as some autos (purple bullet auto, Jack Herer auto, bubble auto, northern lights auto). They are loving my new T5 light, and so am I. I've never really used a T5 for an entire veg cycle before, but I'm glad that I decided to try it. I'm getting more stretch out of my plants, and they are showing signs of explosive growth. I have received my 8x QB-132s which will eventually go in the 5 x 5, but I still need to purchase LED drivers and build a large substrate (frame) for those boards. I also received my 2x Elite V2 boards and HLG-185H-54A drivers. I hooked one of them up today, and holy crap that thing was bright. It was definitely brighter than my 288 boards. I couldn't find a way to hang my new Hurricane wall-mount fan, so I improvised. It works because it's easy to raise and lower. These Hurricane fans are very powerful. And they oscillate, which is cool. I am a bit disappointed in HLG. There is really no way to hang the Elite V2 board and heatsink. I'll have to either build a small substrate out of aluminum angle or figure out some way to hang this thing without modifying too much of what they sent me.
1•How many times zoom were these trich shots taken at?? Damn those are fat.. lol.. 2•did you train them top them?? 3•Anything them?? I ask cause the plant doesnt have that traditional christmas tree structure/shape/look
Hey bro. I don't top my plants. That's just LST and a little super-cropping. For my trichome pictures, I use a little magnifying device that I attach to my iPhone and I'm able to zoom in and stuff. It works pretty well, and I got it for less than $10 on Amazon. I recommend them. I'll post link below. http://a.co/d/1a4KqGF
Heard 4 of those can easily do a 5x5 and is compared to a DE 1000watts Sent from my SM-J727P using Tapatalk
I heard that as well. Actually, HLG said that exact statement to me in an email. That blows my mind. “Tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.” — someone awesome
Yes. These are HLG’s newest lighting tech. Good lights for flowering. They have deep red diodes. Better spectrum. “Tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.” — someone awesome
Love the fan hang Inspired. Hell yeah Screw it to wood, hang it. Beautiful. Thanks@918AutoGrower Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk @ I love growing weed
The board + heatsink is $99. The driver I bought (HLG-185H-54A) was like $65. “Tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.” — someone awesome
Getting my next grow ready. I pulled 9x cuttings from my Incredible Bulk mother, and all 9 rooted! I’m stoked! I switched to RooTech rooting gel and it worked well. I also mixed some Azos and soaked the Rapid Rooters in the Azos solution. First time I’ve tried it this way, and I got 100% results. Not bad! Anyway, I am pulling 6 of those clones to put in my instatransplant cups where they will stay for 10-12 days before being transplanted into larger pots “Tyranny anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.” — someone awesome
No i dont have any of these...to new still i dont have patients but it comes to this stuff i can wait lol Sent from my SM-J727P using Tapatalk
I think my Jack Herer grow is coming to an end. I'm getting some yellowing on some sugar leaves on the clones, but no yellowing on the mother just yet. I did have some very crispy sugar leaves on some top bud sites on the mother, though. Not sure what that's all about. I'm seeing some beautiful colors come out in the clones. Nice purple-ing going on. Something very interesting that I've noticed is the one Jack Herer clone that I am flowering was originally outside, and it started to flower outside, but I brought it inside to reveg with the other 5 clones. She looks completely different from the other clones. Her bud sites are twice as large, and the leaves look very different. She looks nothing like any of the other ones.
Jack Herer Auto – CHOP DAY Well boys and girls, my JH Auto is getting the chop. This was a tough call, because I've let plants go too long in hopes of seeing those amber trichomes and ended up frying the trichomes instead. On the other hand, you want to make sure you don't pluck it early with underdeveloped trichomes. So, it is my hope that others can learn from this decision. I am posting a lot of trichome pictures so you newer growers can see what they look like. In my opinion, this plant in ripe. Sure I probably could let it go another day or two until there are more amber trichomes, but in my experience, once they start to turn amber, you don't have much time left because it goes downhill pretty fast from there so you kinda have to act soon or you'll ruin your crop. As I'm writing this post, I'm getting my materials together to cut this plant down and do a bud wash. Then it's off to the drying tent.
