Recently I was given 2 plants right after germination, this is my first time growing grass, usually just grow fruits so this is all knew to me. I've been reading techniques and things online but I only gained all that knowledge not so long ago, therefore I'm very behind. I started growing outside in my garden first now I've changed pots and bring it inside when it gets very rainy if anyone could tell me if my plants alright or any tips that I can still use to see better growth that'd be great, also. I don't know the strain but I do know it's sativa ( yes my grow setup isn't the best, this is only the beginning and yes I see the nutrient burn I cut down)
They are in veg. If it's still spring/early summer where you are leave then outside. Rain won't hurt them but limiting their light will. More yield. That's easy. More of everything. More soil mass = more roots. More roots means more plant. More plant means more light needed. And more water too. These are no different than growing any fruit or veggie in terms of plant growth. They look happy. You're doing just fine m8
It's early summer here. That makes me feel a little better. I may have to do an emergency transplant because they get a little more shade than I thought they would but I hated to dig them up and cause that stress.
They don't seem to be trying to reach for light though. They may be ok where they are. Wow, this is a great community. My post has been up for an hour or so and I've already had a lot of helpful ppl. Thanks everyone.
How much sum are they getting? Remember that for the plant to get bigger it's delivery system needs to be bigger. So while you don't see a ton of new growth above the soil you can be sure that below the soil those roots are growing and expanding its network of nutrients highways. As far as digging them up. How long have they been in the ground. And how big was the root ball when it went in ( size of the pot it was in). They won't go into flower until you have aproxx 12 hours of darkness. So you got a ways to go with them. Patience is the hardest thing to add to a grow. If you want a quick learning process grab a few auto seeds. Get them in now and you'll see the full veg cycle in a few weeks and will help you know what to expect on the photo period plants. Plus gets you some great smoke in a short amount of time. 50 ish days on some. 65 isn t bad either.
Those plants are leggy as fuck. They need much more light. I'm just about to pull a plant which I expect to yeild over 5lbs, and it's only 24 inches tall. Dude, just get more light.
About 40-50w per square foot. That's actual draw, not stated wattage if you're using LEDs. Don't do clones myself mate so can't comment on that. Hopefully someone else can help you. Good luck.
