  1. Hello all,:)
I would like to share with you all my first indoor grow.:D
I'm using a wardrobe that i bought especially for this. I've been modifying for a while and i've still got some changes to make after this grow and i've got to get all the new equipment i need.
The first pic is with light on, so it's good on light leaking.
    Temp are really good.
I'm not too sure on how far to put the 150W HPS away from the seedlings, have a look at the pic with the Drink bottle tops, let me know what you think????

I'm growing from some old seeds i had stored in the fridge(good place to store unused film as well). So i don't know what i'll get out of this grow.:smoking:
Ask any questions you like, offer up any advice you like and thanks for dropping in.

  2. Dude huge fucking rep for that. I was trying to build a similar set-up but i ended up getting high and selling the lights and everything else to my friend

  3. Ya know I was thinking of buying a big cabinet like that to get my plants out of my closet into a more moddable space. How much did you pick that thing up for?

  4. From the bottom of your light to the top of your(young) plants should be no more than 80 F with good air flow....
I like to see my plants move from the airflow.....

    Looks good nice grow box...:)

  5. I paid about $150.00 Australian dollars, so you should be about $80-90 Greenback.

I got this one becasue it looked the most like it would have a bunch of clothes and not worth going closer.

  6. Thanks, Yeah i'm up to speed on air and flow, i just need some direction on hight of the 150W on the seedlings. What distance should the light be from the plant

  7. Id try 14 to 16 and see how that is,like i said keep temp around 80 and your safe....

  8. Went and bought some nutrients from the local hydro shop:hello:
I've got a great little measuring syringe for measuring the exact amount of nutrients. :D I've include a pic of the grow progress, the nutrients and other stuff.
I'll be posting weekly updates in this post so stay tuned to see the final result !

  9. looking real good man , i think imma use a drobe , seems easier to modify etc..nice..ill be watching :smoking:

    Good Luck

  10. Nice set up. Cant wait to see some GREEN! I'll keep an eye on it. Peace brotha, TBug:D

  11. Oh, and any way you can post larger pics? my pop-up blocker wont let me view. I try turning it off but cant!@##@@!:D ....my computer controls ME.

well if i click on it like 40 times it will open...lol Peace, TBug

  12. Pics are set size in thread and then enlarge when you click on them. SOrry i can't help with your computer problem.

  13. Hey man. the closet looks good. You should keep that hps atleast a foot away from the plants, esp those little seedlings. For air flow you want to make sure you have "fresh"air alwas entering the grow space, so u would wanna get a fan for exaust and a some sort of hole to let in fresh air. but other than that you got everything. on your way to some nice plants.

  14. Not sure if you can see in the pics dude.

I've got a 100mm fan sucking air out the top of the box in the black area, and another 100mm fan blowing down on the grow.
There are four 90 degree inlet pipes in the bottom which act as passive intakes.

The new design (after this grow and i find all the equipment, and fund the project)

Lower the top shelf down a bit to fit a 150mm Inline fan and 150MM carbon filter.
Cool pack near light, sucking air straight from the light fixture.:D

Then i might use the 400W HPS if i can keep the temp down.
The 150W Hps is sitting right at 80 degrees, which is perfect....
so with a much more powerful fan it should be able to cope with the 400W.:D
Cheers all, it's all coming along, I also started them on a mild seedling simulant to promote roots.
    Stick around for more updates
    Cheers:smoking:

  15. I need some help with the humidity inside the box.
I have temps of about 76-80 degrees, but the humidity is only about 20-35 %
I would like it in the 40% range.

Can anyone offer advice on getting more water into the air. (without going to to much expense)

Do cups of water do anything ???

The water that runs off the pots after i water, evaporates very quickly. Usually within the day !

  16. wow thats quite the setup, i might try something similar

  17. hey if you go to a rite-aid you can get a vicks humidifer for no more than 20-30 bucks, they can raise it a good 10% atleast.

  18. Forget a electric humidifier. Waste of money.
Put some glasses/plates filled with water in the box.
If you have proper growing temps the water will evaporate quick enough to boost the humidity in the box.

Put the water as close to the air intake hole(s) as you can but NEVER put the water above the lightbulb!

  19. I tested this over night and I've got the humidity at 40% now. It raised after i watered the kids, and that run-off water evaporated pretty quickly again and raised the humidity.
I'll keep a cup of water in there from now on.,....

    Thanks.

  20. Welcome back....

We are at about day 11 into the grow.

I added some rooting fert to the first two and it stunted them for a couple of days and gave them yellowish leaves.:( So i stopped that and they have been getting clean H2O every since.

First row - 2 plants -Using a Seedling mix, Growing a bit slow and still bouncing back from nute burn:eek:

2nd row -3 plants - Using a neutral potting dirt, plants about a week after the first row. Doing ok.;)

3rd row - 3 plants - Youngest of them all, planted about 3 days after the 2nd row. Seem to be growing the best at the moment.:D

I also relocated the fan from the top of the bow to next to the grow blowing across grow and light.
Main picture of young plant is from the first row.
As always, comments and concerns are welcome.:D

    Thanks for dropping in.
