mutant plants?

  1. 2 of my plants have very odd growing patterns. The leaves come in at all different times and there all different sizes. Have any of you guys/gals kept a plant like this growing and achieved good results or got anyresults at all? Just curious..

  2. Are the leaves the same shape of a normal MJ plant or are they completely different?

    have a look for yourself.

you can really tell its a mutant by looking at the bottom right corner of the plant where you can see some leaves curling out in random directions..

  4. Maybe it will be like alien coke from that cheech and chong movie, only it will be alien weed. :D

  5. What type of soil are you using and do you know the soil PH? Have you fed this plant yet? If so it is too early to be fed.

  6. it is in schultz potting soil (0.08-0.12-0.08) I don't know the PH. Only 2 out of 7 of my plants are like this.. no, havn't givin them any fertz yet as they are only 2 weeks old..

  7. As I suspected, your soil has nutes in it. I am not sure if this is your problem because the nutes are in small amounts but, seedlings are very delicate so they could be struggling because of the nuted soil. I would pick up a soil ph tester if I were you as well or get some ph test strips. This will help rule out the wrong ph and you will need that throughout the years while you grow. How are they looking today? Has the problem gotten any worse?

  8. Actually, they are starting to look a bit more normal today. All of the new growth seems to look alot more normal than the initial growth.

P.S. since I put them outside 2 days ago, they are showing much more faster growth. Hope it continues like this. On july fifth, they will be entering week 3. I have some schulz 10-15-10 fertilizer that I plan to delute to quarter strength and give them that on that day. Sound good?

  9. The fertilizer you have is more for the flowering phase. You want to get some 15-10-15 for vegative (what they are in now) and use that 10-15-10 for flowering (when they go 12/12). If you can't get anything else it will be ok but, you have a good 2 weeks before they are ready to be fed. Good luck.

  10. Alright cool, thanks.

  11. when one of my babys was a seedling, i had the same issue. for about the first two weeks i questioned whether it was even weed. after it got around 10" high the leaves now come in normally. freaked me out to see something like that.

  12. iam the king of mutants.. i wouldnt worry about a thing.ive grown some ugly plants..but the end results always the same... BUD..... i would let it grow....

  13. Alright, i'll take your word for it. Hopefully these freakshows turn out to be female:) .
