Music from the 90's

  1. Hey so I grew up in the 90's (Born in 1991) but since I was young I missed alot of the times as a teen. I've always been fascinated by the 90's and was looking for some more good music from the time. I listen to stuff like Sum41, good charlotte, blink 182, etc... I was wondering if some people have some other good bands they enjoi from that era. wether their well known, or indie. also some tracks would be great too.

  2. the 90's is one of the best decades of Hip Hop, no doubt. check out the Fugees, Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, Souls of Mischief, Jeru the damaja, the roots, the pharcyde, outkast, the beatnuts....list can go on.

    but when i think of BANDS from the 90's, i think of CAKE, Marcy's Playground, Dramarama, REM, Weezer (i HATE everything they did after the Green Album. very sad and confused about their new stuff cuz i worshiped them in High School), The Cure, 311, Rage Against the Machine and others that escape my mind atm.

    ohyeahh i think the bands you mentioned are from the early 00's. All Killer No Filler is one of the first CD's I ever bought.

  3. Thanks for those bands, I'll give them a listen, same for the hip hop stuff. ANd yea sum41 is prob early 00, but they still had that 90's attitude. dickie shorts, tube socks, spiked hair.

  14. How has no one mentioned Oasis yet? Easily the best band of the 90s. One of the best bands of the century. Real, genuine RocknRoll. And The Verve were incredible too. They reminded me of a more psychedelic Pink Floyd. Richard Ashcroft and Liam Gallagher were two of the best voices in Rock.

    Three of the best songs ever written right there.

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qujfdzLJPyU&feature=channel]YouTube - The Verve - Lucky Man[/ame]

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z72tgpez7yE]YouTube - The Verve - Feel[/ame]

    The Verve at their best. 'Feel' is my favourite psychedelic song. Pure genius.

    How about elliott Smith and Neutral Milk Hotel (In An Aeroplane Over the Sea is probably my favorite album of the 90's.) Oh and this classic:

    The 90's were such a diverse decade, not just the music but like movies, tv; I misss them even though I was like just a kid
