Mushroom Hunting

  1. Anyone ever go searching for edible mushrooms? Morels are in season up here and I went yesterday to look for some. Even though it had snowed the day before, we had enough precipitation previously to bring out a few. Here's some pictures.

Discuss/share pictures/stories of any edible mushroom finds!
And remember folks, always make sure you know what you're eating!

  2. I've gone hunting for morels. Theres tons in the woods by where I live. Set some on a log one time and my dog ate them... lol I was kinda pissed and surprised.

  3. My dad has been doing this for over 40 years. I have since I was born (19 years). Here is us picking chicken of the woods and making a yummy dinner.

  4. That's great, and yes, you should know what you are eating. There are lots of mushrooms, which can be overwhelming initially, but eventually, hunting will be easier when you familiarize yourself. You can look at them at online shops such as Zoomies Canada, Getmagnolia etc
