multiple lights?

    ok, first off, a buddy of mine just dropped a plant outdoors a week or two ago. he said i could get it, due to the busy schedules we both lead, we havn't been able to get together. buuut i had set an indoor system. i got a cfl and a100W hps. so during the last two weeks i've been growing from seed to experiment mostly with temperature and environment, to make sure i could keep it alive whilst living my busy life. and i can. so which leads to me to my question.

    i have a seedling under both of my lights right now, it seems to be enjoying the mutliple lights. so is it worth it having the hps on my seedling at such a young age? or should i just save the hps for my mama i'm getting? i know i'm going to have to split them up, cuz the mama i'm getting should be flowering already so the first day i get i should switch my room to half and half lighting. will one cfl be good enough for my little baby? or should i get a second one for the rest of my germinating seeds. also if i don't get the mama, should i keep my freshly sprouted sprouts away from the hps, i seemed to have an issue with one seedling which rooted in my germination chamber, repotted and put under hps, seemed to just wither and dry out, and die. is that the hps or should a seedling grow fine under hps. thanks for you help!!! =)

    Ya it should, your mama should take the HPS for maximum budding and potency. But theres a problem with growing 1 plant, what if it turns out to be a male, then all that time was wasted. so think about throwing in some more seeds and growing some more plants so you have alot higher of a chance of getting a female than just 50/50

    yeah you cant just pray about it being a female. Cause if it turns out to be a male, then well thats a waste for jsut one plant. But no one CFL will be fine for the baby(s) infact that is all i have mine under and they are loving it. i have 4 little young ones. i tried to save a couple more that were dying but only one of them is still alive. I left them sitting outside, and the rain got into the container they were in and over watered them, drown my children!

    oh i know about the seeds thing, this is just my first one, all my other seeds seemed to have been bad, three others sprouted but i'm on the verge of the last third dying, don't worry there's more seeds in the works, only problem is my ganja doesn't come with seeds so my supply is dwindling. btw, i think with a little positive energy, my little sapling will sprout into a flowering lady. =)

    update on that anyway, the mama ate the frost and died the other night. i wasn't fast enough, supposed to have it today. it's okay though.
