  1. Hello people of the universe. Gave the thunderfuck hempy a much needed haircut this morning. She was gettin bushy and needed her undercarriage cleaned up. Looking much tidier now. 15B28099-517D-4631-8487-382EA81BF478.jpeg

  2. Hello GC. Finally having a bit more time for updates. Here is the weekly report.

with the amnesia lemon pie hanging, the ripest girl in the box is the cream mandarine fast version. 6 weeks since flip on Wednesday. Clearly not going to wrap up in 7, but is really stacking and swelling this week. 2525F41A-E76C-48E1-A343-FA24060FCC99.jpeg 4D7DE372-7C9E-48AB-A38A-6ACE53D8AAFD.jpeg 63243013-4072-4EAF-B500-982438422331.jpeg 37E89C4F-D625-4F6A-B2AF-90FFD453B016.jpeg

The thunderfuck hempy is trucking along. She loved her haircut. 2 weeks from flip yesterday. I always enjoy seeing them takeoff from the surge of nutrients to the remaining plant after a good defoliation in early flower. Starting to set flowers this week. Shouldn’t be long to start seeing some snow. 7F980AE2-2D70-41FA-A153-DDA35D659350.jpeg

The little hempies are 2 weeks in today. Also got a haircut and got the lower chassis stripped down and cleaned up. First pic is the lanky gelato and 2 cream mandarines. Second pic is the three thunderfucks. All the clones started out almost the same size, so it is a pretty good side-by-side for me to see which among these strains likes this technique the most. Shooting for 1/2 zip on each of these. Don’t expect to see it on the cream mandarines. Just not enough side branching. Optimistic about the others. Going to let the CM wrap up before I start the fat banana. Just not quite enough room. If I get bored, I may move a couple hempies to the floor and replace them with a couple new ones just to fill in a few gaps in the footprint. I hate gaps in the footprint!

Thanks for checking out the garden. Cheers.

  3. Damn I got behind. Very nice activity.. keep it up..

  4. Thanks man. Keeping things rolling helps keep my mind and hands occupied during what is otherwise a fairly shitty time. I genuinely enjoy the process as much as I enjoy the product.

Time for a quick smoke report on the nirvana gelato. I so want to like this flower more than that I do. At least for now. It has been curing for a couple weeks and seems to be just starting to develop a sweeter finish and a little deeper dankness. As it stands, it has something of a medicinal/eucalyptus-y funk that makes it a bit less than real tasty. It reminds me of some medicinal tasting autos I have grown in years past. The effect is good quality and balanced, but not amazing. For as crusted in frost as it is, I frankly expected a harder hit. I will revisit it in a couple weeks more and see how it develops. It may just be one that needs some jar time to shine.
    C7FA37CB-4804-4E22-AFCF-1827596483CA.jpeg

also finished trimming and jarring the amnesia lemon pie. 76 grams dried and finish-trimmed. Gorgeous large clusters. Weren’t huge on the plant, but were rock solid. Almost no shrinkage during drying. Very impressed. Really heavy hitting sativa high with enough Indica genetics to make it good and stoney. Very smooth, tasty and brightly lemony. Sweet lemony like lemon zest, not sour at all. Near instant favorite with both the wife and me. Was a pleasure to grow too. Have a nice clone of her going and will get it ready to go back in the rotation ASAP. 0C6067E5-FE55-4481-A7DD-5765EFCA2C57.jpeg

Stash is finally getting stocked back up. It was down to almost nothing this July after a break. Between the occupants of my house and those that smoke out with them, our burn rate is about an ounce a week. Have been able to outpace that by about 13 zips with these couple little plywood boxes and a converted armoire. I have been thinking about stepping up the size of my setup, but having trouble coming up with a great reason to do so! The perpetual battle to convince my wife continues. Happy last Monday of this shitty year. Here’s hopin 2021 sucks less!

The flowering ladies are continuing to look great. I like the reduced workload and increased yield of running a couple bigger girls, but I get bored rapidly with the lack of variety both in my growing space and in my jarred stash.

The ripest girl at this time is the cream mandarine fast version. She will hit 8 weeks Wednesday. The 6-7 weeks suggested by the breeder is optimistic at best, even if one counts from first pistils. Not really surprised that a plant is going to need nine weeks or so to finish flowering, but a little bummed when it is advertised as a fast version. Flowers are swelling nicely in the last week and are starting to harden up. Put her on water on yesterday. We’ll see how she looks in a week or so. 0966B0F4-9985-4296-92F7-C5712EAF85F7.jpeg 7E07E6FA-7912-4590-B2EC-9236A056AA90.jpeg 11EDA46E-BF06-467F-A4B3-FA0DD9D1DCAB.jpeg 3104D466-CF2F-4052-91A7-DACE6071C152.jpeg

Next up is the large thunderfuck hempy. She will be 4 weeks in flowering on New Year’s Eve. Setting flowers and starting to show a little frost this week. I am looking forward to this one wrapping up. I am almost out of flowers from this lady and I am rather fond of them. Burning some as I write this. She really seems to be enjoying the top-half coco/bottom-half perlite hybrid hempy. With these two taking up most of the floor space, the only other ladies in flower right now are the 32oz hempies (x6). They will be 4 weeks in on New Year’s Day. Also setting flowers and frosting up.

The little gelato is tall and lanky, just like her mom. Also getting frosty for 3.5 weeks. 00395444-69E9-4363-9D12-2780BCC92783.jpeg 26C60AE6-1D07-43F8-BE29-927A5E48B54B.jpeg

The 3 little thunderfucks are filling out. Good side branching and setting flowers nicely. BB694B10-A0A5-43F4-B86B-4B9E4FDCEC65.jpeg

  6. Just a quick veg update. Potted-up a couple of the new ladies. The Kilimanjaro is in a 3 gal bag of coco and has been topped. About 2.5 weeks from seed. Will take a couple cuttings in early stretch in case she’s a keeper. Should have plenty of time. Starting her really small so I don’t need a spare room for her! A4696598-1DBA-4C6F-BE5B-422845AC3C4A.jpeg

Also moved the Acapulco gold into a 1 gal coco pot. Also 2.5 weeks from seed. Will take her top and see if I can get it rooted up while she puts on some size. If so, will run her soon.
    8DFC711C-2267-47D8-8C79-3DC3100840B5.jpeg
Also moved an amnesia lemon pie clone into a half gallon coco pot. Will cut some clones and manifold her out to get her back in the rotation ASAP.

Which brings me to a probably bit premature smoke report on the amnesia lemon pie. Just can’t wait (and haven’t, been smoking lots of it). It is fantastic! Brightly lemony and smooth tasting smoke. No cough to speak of and leaves your lips tasting like lemon after a bong rip. The effect is nothing short of excellent. Pleasant but very strong and heavy head high. Almost a bit trippy. Easy to zone out on whatever you’re doing. Makes my eyes a bit extra dry and itchy, but well worth it. This is my first go with garden of green and they get 2 thumbs up from me. Easy to grow. Very happy girl. Clones easy af. Flowers are straight fire. Tics all the boxes.

thanks for popping by. Happy New Years blades. May your buds be dank and plentiful in 2021! Cheers.

  7. Happy 2021 all. Hope this young new year is treating you right so far. getting the garden geared up for the new year. Will be transitioning back to more smaller girls after these bigger ladies finish.

The cream mandarine fast version is finally wrapping up. Hit 8 weeks this past Wednesday. Expect to start seeing some amber anytime. Not really much swelling going on, but may yet have another push in her. Buds are fat but not super dense but getting denser. We’ll see if that improves. Smell is fine, but nothing special. Her fade is in full effect. Unless she smokes surprisingly well, she may struggle to stay in the rotation right now. 1E158FBA-2EA0-4924-BA97-732BCEEAC0CC.jpeg 4095625D-6325-4B1B-9B37-4DB031D432AF.jpeg 85EF1C31-64F3-4460-B927-CE5954488543.jpeg D88B857F-6ED9-462B-BA3D-A0A11C635078.jpeg

The thunderfuck hempy is the largest one of this cut I have run. She has set a ton of flowers and is starting to stack and frost up. 4 weeks since flip this past Thursday. Thinking this one should finish nicely. Her pH drifted a touch hi and her leaves tipped down just a bit. She is sucking down tons of P and K right now and I upped it in her feed today. C2DA7E05-E3CB-4568-B7A5-81DD8192E59C.jpeg 32ADC97E-BC6E-4F37-B04C-4042BE49664C.jpeg 2594A1FA-69C8-4971-A19D-C68F27476EF4.jpeg

The little hempies are cooking this week too. Also just past 4 weeks in.

First is the gelato, which is respectably large for being in a 32oz cup. She is setting some decent flowers and putting on tons of frost. 751B352C-C75F-46B8-856D-5D86451C66DE.jpeg 788D45C2-21DE-48EE-8017-8C8231A4C073.jpeg

...and the 3 thunderfucks. They are all showing some of the same pH drift and phosphorus needs as the big one. But otherwise are filling out and frosting up like I expect for this plant.
    EC0E28FD-2CEE-4F03-B69C-37E7DAC128B2.jpeg 4EBE4EC2-FFE4-477A-B8ED-12BF67E2D171.jpeg 06DB23BB-2665-45E6-ADBD-CE48A4344A14.jpeg 4E75B86B-453E-4278-8BA9-410B2BD55968.jpeg C8976BB4-03BA-4581-81EA-EBA0491B5170.jpeg 925F6772-53D0-432B-9DCC-E4FFB04302D5.jpeg

Realized I forgot to take photos of the cream mandarine hempies. They are fine. Too little side branching for them to really make sense in this style unless I just jam in a ton of them. They haven’t shown me enough, at least not yet, to consider that.

Will be cutting some clones this week from the new girls to get them ready. The Acapulco gold and Kilimanjaro are crushing it along with the fat banana which has been waiting patiently. The Barney’s wedding cake and rqs hulkberry also coming along. All the littles are ready to be topped to start their manifold and take a shot at rooting up an early cutting before they go into the flower room.

    thanks for stopping by. Cheers

  8. Happy 2021 and happy Monday all. 505C6532-E2F5-4FBA-ABAD-3B36958148FB.jpeg

  9. So today is the day for the cream mandarine fast version. Had to poke around, but found a few ambers and she’s good and cloudy. I could let her go a little longer, but she is done swelling and will be nine weeks tomorrow. I am seriously impatient and will not wait any longer for a few more grams of mediocre flower. Would rather start the Kilimanjaro. So much for being a fast version I suppose. She looks and smells OK, but not special. Buds are dense but colas are on the smallish side and frost level is just meh. Don’t think I will keep her clone unless she just surprises the hell out of me in the jar. Have better plants that will run in that time. 39C0DFD7-4655-4677-A4B4-9F98D49D4332.jpeg

Haircut day in the baby veg cabinet. Badly needed. I usually top the clones down to 2 nodes once they get rooted, then top the two shoots once they grow out a bit to get 4 tops. From there, I can either grow them out or take clones and compost them once they get root bound and need to be freshened up. I currently have 4 1/2 strains that are winners (still on the fence with the gelato) that I am keeping up in clone form. The rest are clones of plants that either haven’t been flowered out yet or seedlings of new girls.

    After
    C01EEEEA-5B99-4BCF-8D66-8112F4C51CFD.jpeg

The Acapulco gold is over in the auto box and is going hard. Forgot to switch off the blue side of the damn LED. Her base nodes are teed up to grow into a 4 way manifold. I stripped everything else down and will take the top to root while the manifold grows out and room opens up in the flowering space. DDA73C5C-3C3D-4632-B529-45F0179CFCF1.jpeg

The party is getting ramped up for 2021. Looking forward to seeing what the story is with some of the new ladies. Cheers

  10. What up gc. Snowing like hell outside, but always a warm sunny fall day in the basement.

The large thunderfuck hempy is in full swing. She hit 5 weeks in flower today. She is stacking like crazy this week. Nice colas shaping up on her. Frost coming in heavy like it do for this gal in week 5. Also starting to smell dank and citrusy. C247D70E-CE90-49CA-BF91-E0E843DA9FBE.jpeg 09E86C8F-2E1F-45E4-A77C-A59BE9B01D59.jpeg 50226708-0540-425D-A74E-F33E307711A3.jpeg

The little hempies (x6) will be 5 weeks in tomorrow. The gelato (left) is predictably large and lanky. The rest are stacking out pretty well for their size. The cream mandarines (right) are thin on side branches, but throwing up a decent top. Moved them to the floor since there is room for now and they get blasted by the COB on the shelf they normally live on. The cm is I little light sensitive (yet another thing I don’t love about it) so she is enjoying the break.
    A910F552-36B1-4339-B723-F3DFD59A9CFC.jpeg

The rest of the space left from harvesting the big cm is being occupied by this new girl. World of seeds Kilimanjaro sativa. This is largely for me. Wife doesn’t love really heavy sativa leaning buds. They are about my fave though. These apparently stretch for at least a couple months and I am starting this one tiny and after a pruning in the hopes of keeping it under control. Wish me luck! Thanks for checking out the garden. Cheers

Time for a quick smoke report. Sadly, it is not a good one. The Cream Mandarine fast version tastes and smells… Bad. Like artificial citrus cleaner bad. Like bad enough that I pulled up on finish trimming and jarring it because it makes the wife and my stomach turn. Was going to throw it in the hash bin, but the hash even tastes nasty. edibles I guess? Rare fail on this one from sweet seeds. Was not fast (cut at 9+, could have used 10) and was underwhelming in about every way. Also light sensitive. I have a couple more seeds and may try again sometime, but prolly not. Will still try out some sweet seeds strains. I’ve had great luck with them. I am considering pulling the two hempies that I have left in 32 ounce cups of this one. I would rather not have them take up the space for another month.

On a cheerier note, the thunderfuck hempy is 6 weeks tomorrow and smashing it. She is stacking and swelling like crazy and is already mad crusted in frost. Next three weeks should be rad. This is the fifth time I’ve run this plant and have got it a bit more dialed in each time. Thinking of doing some breeding with this lady. She’s a def keeper. 419AEE84-80B2-4F6C-BF0A-ADB238329663.jpeg

  12. Happy Friday people of earth. The garden in my basement is continuing to transition into high gear for the new year. Planning to test lots (for me) of new genetics this spring. Please feel free to follow along and all thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

The primary occupant of the flowering box is the large thunderfuck hempy. She hit six weeks yesterday and she’s a looker. Big fat dense colas full of rapidly swelling calyxes. The pictures don’t do justice to how crusted with frost she is. I was just looking back through prior runs with this girl in this journal. Her buds have never looked this good this early. She’s either going to finish a little early or be massive. I’m down to clown either way. Gratuitous pic alert. 70CD4C06-1DE7-45E3-85F6-A9F2AB945FA2.jpeg BB2B6CFB-40FF-4A3D-A246-9F9BAA29A703.jpeg CC820705-5D73-4009-B6D4-AFF896F87227.jpeg 92F14645-A465-4C71-8E04-91EB5ACA294A.jpeg BF785FA2-855D-4358-A431-5BC42AD61A3D.jpeg

The little hempies are 6 weeks today. Pretty impressed with the flowers on the gelato and the thunderfucks are respectable too. Each of them have a reasonable shot at hitting my 14g goal. The two cream mandarines are dead to me. If I needed the space in the flower room right now they would be compost. Will likely just replace them anyway once I have some extra clones to run off.

    Thunderfucks together and separately 7DE2F3BC-D90E-43A8-91F6-99393439BD36.jpeg EB11BB8B-1E22-416E-8616-EC8D53CC63B8.jpeg E51309B5-8C9F-44BC-BFA2-18A437C2716B.jpeg 3A9A60B8-78D5-49C7-8C24-6F7AA4F09899.jpeg

The Kilimanjaro is 10 days in today. As planned, she is off to a slow rolling start. I am letting a few shoots grow out under the canopy to cut for clones. Happy little lady for now.

That’s all that is flowering at the moment. Here is what is coming down the pike.

This is an RQS fat banana. Planning to move her into flower in the next week. She has been patiently chilling while some big girls wrap up. Had to cut her way back when the big cream mandarine took an extra few weeks. She’s about ready to go though. CA2880F6-BECD-4BC6-A745-E06DD9336143.jpeg 69E1B9F7-EE63-491C-A127-BB35F60FB09F.jpeg

After her will be this amnesia lemon pie clone. She has been cut way back to take more clones, but has an established root system and will bounce right back. want her back in the rotation ASAP. Already smashed through half of her mom‘s flowers. 7EF8923E-70F8-40B5-BF18-18F596D92258.jpeg 7B09736B-8A21-41AA-B626-DD5CCC74C7A8.jpeg

Next will be the Barney’s Acapulco Gold. Cut a 7” clone from her top, which I believe is rooting. She is getting her 4-way manifold on and starting to fill out her 1 gal coco pot. Looking forward to her. 58860F26-E24E-4F89-8EFE-0E0444CBDF65.jpeg

After her will be this rqs hulkberry. I was able to take a tiny clone from her which looks like it is going to take. She was a little behind, but getting going. 2E4505C2-594B-4523-99C0-C3A699E5BFBA.jpeg

The other seedling from my last batch of starts is a Barney’s wedding cake. She is being a finicky little pain in the ass. I have tried several things to get her going and she just wants none of it. She may be right for someone, but not me. Life is too short to try and figure that one out. Unless she spontaneously snaps out of it and takes off, she will get composted and I’ll probably throw a new seed in. Still have a couple 845806C1-5A32-470A-8F73-EEF4D3B6A1AB.jpeg

Will also be starting some new seeds for the spring in a week or two. In addition to another wedding cake, I will be burning through the rest of my nirvana stuff. GSC, K2 and skywalker OG. Also have some Phoenix chocolope and some questionable Pacific seed bank fruity pebbles that was gifted to me by a friend. Planning to order some ethos and exotic genetix seeds this spring. Would love any suggestions on strains or other US breeders I should check out.

thanks for hanging in for this long ass update if you made it. Cheers

  13. Well hello blades I am doing the exact thing. Took a break from bohdi regs to run some autos. I have 9 going like 5 days old. Just got 2 sabres so see how far I can go without hooking up a big light. So cal edison sends me love letters when I plug in my cmh lights lol. So we shall see how much 1 or 2 sabres run me. I normally just take autos outside to flower but hoping I can at least do a few inside. Running 24 hour lights. Since using bigfoot. Roots have exploded 20210115_060211.jpg

  16. Nice variety. Big fan of rqs. I like their haze strains. Have grown silver and my neighbor grows their amnesia from time to time. Great sativa buds. I’m loving their thunderfuck strain right now. Fire. Optimistic about the hulkberry and fat banana I have in veg. Very vigorous little gals.

  17. Happy Sunday blades. Rearranged a couple things and moved the fat banana medium hempy into flower today. 1.75gal trash can. Top 1/2 coco, bottom 1/2 #3 super chunky perlite.

  18. Good afternoon people of the universe. Left work a bit early today. Quitting smoking cigarettes, which is hell on this earth, and this week has been calm enough that I can steal a couple hours for the sake of sanity. Thusly, bourbon on ice with a fat joint and an update on the girls is in order.

The thunderfuck hempy is 7 weeks in flower today. Seems to be mostly done stacking and just swelling away. Starting to show a few signs of eating her leaves, but nothing out of line for her age. 729A9293-D8F3-4731-B996-3D1DB6ED5F69.jpeg 5D224E66-9EAA-49AE-B840-C1113D42FE7D.jpeg D69843E3-0E70-454B-8907-B003F0FB02C7.jpeg

The 32oz hempies are 7 weeks in tomorrow. The gelato is big for having a 32oz root mass. Definitely the largest of these that I have run. Other than a few toasty tips, which all my girls get in the winter because of how freaking dry my house is, she’s been easy-going and no stress. 3B556FCE-8026-4F6E-AEE0-CA84AF2964F6.jpeg AA863BFD-531F-4B38-A102-2A35B855DC5C.jpeg

three little thunderfucks...Also all respectable for their dinky little asses.

The Kilimanjaro sativa was two weeks in on Tuesday. Growing like crazy. No signs of pistils yet. I’m thinking the pruning I did right before flowering her has taking the edge off of her early stretch. That was kind of the plan. Let’s see how it turns out. If history is any guide, probably not how I expect! 8231BEE5-D06F-4F2A-BA2A-14AE3E4D44BD.jpeg 7664997B-70AA-40D9-8BAD-D3D03AD6A9EA.jpeg

Last up in the flowering space is the fat banana medium hempy. She is only four days at the party, but is growing amazingly fast and starting her stretch. Very vigorous and pretty lady. Let’s hope she has the productivity and quality to go with it. 628D70CD-B200-496A-BBA6-5515C2B31924.jpeg 583DB29B-1C05-4D8A-8F27-FFC6C62084D9.jpeg

    until the next time...cheers

  19. What up blades. Couple quick snaps of the vegging ladies on deck. The first is an amnesia lemon pie clone that has been up-potted into a half and half coco/perlite hempy. 1.75 gallon. She’s up next.

Next up is the Acapulco gold. Training her into 8 mains and she will go in a 3 gallon coco bag after the ALP. Her top is rooted and has been potted and dropped in the baby cabinet.

The RQS Hulkberry is being vegged up into four mains. Her top also rooted it up and i moved it into the baby cabinet today. 05E7FC4A-AAD0-41B6-BF32-4C5882470848.jpeg

this little Barney’s wedding cake finally came around after I repotted it and neglected it for a few days. New leads that are coming in look good. No worries tho. Her little delay should slot her right into the rotation behind the hulkberry. 4B12782D-AC6D-4F51-BF28-06AF19EE1BA6.jpeg

As per my plan for this spring, I dropped four new beans Tuesday. Soaked them for a few hours until they sank in ro water then into root riot cubes. All four up within 36 hours or so. Have gone in cups of coco and received a very mild seedling feed this morning. Strains are fruity pebbles, chocolope, K2 and skywalker OG.

Finalizing my order on some new seeds. Hear a little some thing about some mephisto gear coming about this weekend and want to try and get in on it. Have been taking a break on autos, but their gear is stellar.
