Room: 6X4x6 framed room, airtight, white 90% reflective mold/fungus/water resistant latex paint Fan: 450cfm can fan (exhaust), 13" oscilating fan (ground level), can-fan 180 cfm (intake) light: 600 watt mh on a 4ft. light rail (on 22 hrs/day growing system/medium multi flow (12 bucket) 55 gallon res./hydroton plants: 1 Jamaican lambs bread 1 Space Queen 4 Island Sweet Skunk 3 Shiva 3 purple dragon. all 1 1/2 - 2 week old clones from club I also have a reverse osmosis machine I will start using in 2 days. Started the system and grow today DAY 1 Nutrients 2 1/2 ounces of Pure Blend Pro Grow, 2 ounces liquid karma pH/ppm original tap water was 7.4 pH/ 215ppm after nutrient addition pH 5.5/ppm460 will change res in 2 days when R.O. system is hooked up and add Cal-Mag to feeding schedule then. I plan on up'ing the watering cycle from 2x/day to 3x/day in 5 days depending on future growth. Pic's will come tomorrow (hopefully) when I get a charger for my camera.
purple dragon is also related/very similar to blue dragon. it is a really good Even body/head high, euphoric feeling when you smoke. never grown it so we will see. im a bit worried about all the different strains in the same res. but it was unavoidable. also the club guy told me that most of the strains he grew together in one res and they were fine. damn im impressed with my own setup. im waiting on the ups guy and then I will walk downtown and buy a camera charger and bless you guys with my grow room.
Okay so here are the pictures (finally) of the room annd the plants. One of the plants (space queen) does not seem too be doing well. It seems to be suffering from what I imagine is nutrient burn? I have 48 gallons on R.O water, 7 ounces of Cal-Mag, 3 Ounces of pure blend pro grow, 2 ounces of Liquid Karma, 5.3-5.8 pH, 600 ppm, 3 and a half weeks old (roughly). Any Advice on using cal-mag with R.O water? how much Cal-Mag per/gallon on R.O water? Also my pH seems to rise kinda fast, like one day it will be 5.2, next day after 2 waterings (i water at 10:00 am, and 10:00 pm right now) it will be 6.0 Is there any thing i can be using to stabalize my res. in between chaning it. Like maybe some sort of buffer>?? any advice would be great. here are pic's:
Might wanna ask MJboy about that one. ^^^ He spends alot of time helping the hommies in the sick plant section. and he usually gives real quick responses
ok how often do you water your plant? what nutrients do you use and what are the readings? whats your PPM at?
all the answers to those questions have been typed out in the post's before this...sorry i just can;t re-type right now... its all right above^^^^
did you give your tons a good cleaning before use? 600 ppm? that shouldnt be a problem but maybe try going to 400 - 450 for a week. see if that can help. there are nutrients you need to mix up to get the right If you really want to learn on your own and figure it out heres a good read http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688&page=1&pp=15
Yes i cleaned them ... I will try changing out the res in the next day or two (it takes 12 hours to get 50 gallons of r.O. water. you said there are nutrients i need to get the mix right? what else should i get besides pro grow, liquid karma, and calMag? i have read most of that link you gave me before. good link
If it was nute burn your PPM would be higher. it looks like a Phosphorus deficiency or salt build up in the tons. Did you build up to your nute level your on now or did you just add it right from the jump and sort of shock them? have you notice if they stopped growing or are they growing normal speed?
im not familiar with those nutes but you need to get the right NPK for your plants. Clean the res out asap. you dont want them to get stunt growth and lose all that time and effort over water. Change it and i would tone down the nutes for now. Dont know much about RO water so cant comment there. I use tap water (starts at 300 ppm) and build it up to the right number for each section (flower and veg). I would hold on the nutes and use 1/8 of what your using to get them back to normal. Flush them with nothing but water for 20 min so if it is a salt build up it can fix it self. keep your PPM at 400 - 500 max for a week or so and see day by day on how its going.
okay....im new to R.O. water myself so for the next week or so im going to use my regular tap water (300 ppm) and 1/8th of what im using now for nutes. im going to do some more reading on R.O. and do a flush. see what happens....
yea you need to start fresh with diff water. make sure you flush your plants with just water first then hook up your nutes. how are the roots? also OZ of nutes is weird since i havent heard of people doing that but it might be so for your type of nutes. read up more on the brand your using and see what you get.
not quite sure why you think OZ of nutes is strange. Unless your mis-understanding what i mean. I mean ounces of nutrients. For this stage of growth the nutrients states about 1 teaspoon per gallon. I just converted teaspoons into ounces (rough conversion also toned down)
