  1. Mister Postman, looking mighty fine i must say, with some lush strains too :).

glad the auto pot system is working well for you, that was my very first system i bought over 5 years ago, i found it worked very effectivly too.simple and effective ,well ill just be lurking to see them beautys fatten up!
keep em comming and nice job

as for your Q TheFxckingHero i cant see it being too effective with only a 1/4 line to \"flood\" anything except the 2 pots its designed for, at least not very effectivly, and for the same price (if not cheaper) you could just go and buy a small/medium water pump to flood your tray from a container of your choice (bought at any hardware/store). just my opinion :).im sure you will find somthing that will do the trick.

untill next time stay safe. back for updates

  2. HHmm what do you guys think... Think I\'ll notice enough of a growth difference or density to warrent me spending $85 and throwing a 400watt hps in the closet instead of the 270 watt son agro I have in there with all the cfls??

My buddy has a 400 hps system with conversion mh, and he only wants $85 for the whole thing..

I\'m thinking with the 400watt I\'d have to lift up quite a bit, and this will cover my grow space a bit better. How hot is a 400?? Those with experiance you think I could throw one up in that closet without much trouble? I have that big 20 inch box fan blowing on the plants in the closet, and the closet is open with a 12 inch fan blowing in during the day. 4x2x5 area.

On a side note I\'ll be updating some time tomorrow. For 14 days they are looking frickin yummy.. I\'m already getting quite a bit of crystals on the buds, and leaves.. I dont remember them coing along this quick last grow... I think this crop will be twice as nice as my first run in the closet... I\'m loving the pure blend pro nutes, and the liquid karma.. it\'s like you can do no wrong with the stuff.. I\'m feeding at around 800 ppm in early flower every watering (full strength was around 1200ppm when i mixed the first batch)and the plants are just eating that organic stuff up.. More pics coming.. Lots more pistals, and I also tied down the big bitches in the auto pots:D

  3. Well hello my fellow gc members. Figured I\'d post a few updated pics of how my ladies are coming along. So far I\'m very pleased, and these plants look to be quite a bit ahead of my last grow in flower. Already I\'m noticing quite a bit of crystals on the newly formed buds, and bud leaves. Think last grow was a bit slower to really take on flowering full force.. I guess the experiance of last grow is being used in this second one.. So far so good.. plants are loving my feeding regemin, and everything seems to be going smoothly.

So far nothing really has changed. feeding pure blend pro bloom at 700 ppm with liquid Karma, and ionic boost bringing it right at about 775-800 each watering. So far no sign of burn, and plants are drinking this stuff up.. at about weeks 4 on I\'ll be incorporating Advanced Nutrients Over Drive into my regimen.

Ok what\'s new.. Well I got a 400 hps with mh conversion bulb coming this week that will take the place of my 270 sonagro hps.. That should give my 7 ladies really nice coverage. So from week 3 on I will be flowering under a 400:smoking: Holy shit I just looked up at the pic from 2 days ago, and the buds came a hell of a ways in only 2 days. I\'s almost amazing how fast they grow and develop

  4. damn dude, beautiful pictures of beautiful girls. I wish I could live in your closet right about now :) Me thinks that Im gonna have to keep an eye on these girls and see just what the harvest looks like

  5. Thanks for checking out my grow Warez. So far it looks like it\'s going to be a nice harvest. I know right off that bat I\'m harvesting much more then the two plants I flowered in my first round.. These are a lot healthier, and growing without any problems

  6. I was at the spot today, and snapped a few update pics. I\'m sorry I never kept any journals before. I\'m enjoying seeing them grow, and grow, and grow. Come 40 days it\'s going to be nice to look back and see how far they came.

Ok well updates. I gave a light feeding yesterday evening. Basically I flushed the soil a bit. A very light dose of pbp bloom, and liquid karma, and I watered with 50/50 tap/distilled till it was running out the bottom at which time I checked ph of my drainage. Ph 6.6 perfect;) . On another note my clones are coming along very nicely, not much yellowing/drooping of the leaves yet, but no sign of roots either. I also have a new seedling of Nivana\'s PPP.. next grow will be the clones I took off the Northern lights & ICE, and whatever spots I have left I\'m filing with the PPP, and east coast sour deisel x williams wonder. Oh also I\'m getting that 400 hps this week to take the place of my 270 & cfls:hello: .. That should give me great coverage, and strong lighting to penetrate the canopy a bit better.

  7. Looking really good!

  8. M P that DPxskunk is to die for, lush pinky coloured pistils *droolz*

great move getting the 400,for that price who could refuse eh?
will just have to watch the heat, though as you said your closets open etc, a good trick to help radiant heat (heat from bulb) is to have a little PC fan blowing under/across your hood/reflector ,even pointed at the bulb itself, also allows you to drop it closer to your ladies without burning them :).guess it depends on what sort of reflector/hood you have. how old are the bulbs you will be using from your buddy? if there pretty old might be an idea to get a new one, just a thought they generally only work efficently for 2-3 cycles, some go more. well hope that gets you thinking.

looking suberb my man. back for updates

    stay safe

  9. Wow man, very good..The star is sickk!

  10. Vicarious- Thanks for the tip about the pc fan.. If needed I\'ll for sure get one of those in there. It\'s just an econo batwing so yeah the little fan blowing across the bulb will at least help dissapate some of the heat, and allow me to bring it down a bit to the canopy. Also I purchased a new hortilux 400 as thats what I\'ll be using first.. he said he only used it for 4 months, but it was the stanbdard hps that comes with the econo setup. The mh conversion he never used.. I\'m pretty stoked to veg under the mh next round.. I hope there is a big improvemnt with internode spacing.. We\'ll see..

Br3ad- thanks for stopping. It was pretty neat when I noticed the star shape of the plant LOL.. The bong hits I took after of my dp x skunk buds was even better:bongin: .

Ok updates on the grow. Today I went, and had to replenish my Auto pot res. These 2 plants drank over 10 gallons of water since they were placed into flower a 18 days ago!! That is a hell of a lot of water, and growth for sure is advanced in the auto pot system. The buds on those two plants are smaller though, but they are younger plants, and possibly becasue of the weak 270 not reaching there with as much strength.. That 400 hps will come in handy getting those two bushes to bud up nicely:hello: .. I have an Ice plant in there.. Most ice plants I saw have been indica dom.. This one I got is very sat dom with long skinny leaf, and quite a stretch since flowering. Hey anyone know what the genius pheno type is??? My buddy says my Ice plant seems to look like a Genius Pheno whatever the HELL that means lol.. It does have a different look though.. instead of the fan leaves being equal growing in sets the plant almost looks zigzag with very close uneven internodes.. Any value in the Genius pheno thing? I can\'t see any myself, so figured I\'d ask here..

Ok auto pots res was filled with 6 gallons 3 tap, 3 ro. Pure blend pro added till ppm hit 800, then I gave 1/3 dose ionic boost, and 1/3 dose liquid karma for a total 975 ppm.

I also checked my clones, and 3 of the 7 I took had roots coming out the jiffy pellets, so they were transplanted into a 12 oz cup with about 75% twin oaks unferted potting soil, and 25% perelite. I was pretty happy these clones rooted. 10 days from cut to root is not bad at all.. I\'m very pleased, and it looks the other 4 are healthy and will take as well..

I took it easy with the picture updates today.. i know thats wjhat you guys like to see, but I don\'t want to bore you with to many pics that don;t show much growth either... So I\'ll wait till I get my 400 in to update with pictures

  11. This is a very impressive grow. The plants look so healthy. @_@

...genius? You mean genus? Uh yeah, I forgot what that means. As for phenotype, in short that\'s the physical traits displayed by the plant. I think your friend is just trying to tell you what everyone on this board has been saying--your ladies look great. I hope you clone these plants.

And yes, buying water sucks. Wait until they get into weeks 5-8. :(

    Keep us posted, MisterPostman.

  12. You bet I took clones. I cloned the ICE, Northern Lights, and My Pink Durban poison x skunk. So far 11 days since I took the cuttings 5 of the 8 have rooted:hello:. Even my durpan posion pink pheno.. I almost thought I missed the window on this one as the clone already had good bud started. The local strain I\'m just going to flower out, and say good bye as I have limited space for mothers/clones/vegging so i figured it would make more sense to keep strains from the many good strains I bought.

The sadhu I\'m a bit pissed as I placed her in for sexing at a really early age, and it kinda messed with her growth a bit, so she is very short, and squat, and by the time I was ready to take clones she was to advanced in flower. No stretch at all form that strain. The sadhu is so damn crystally too!!! In fact Both my Mandala strains hashberry/sadhu have the heaviest crystal content of my plants. I suggest anyone to buy Mandala.. they are affordable, and a+ quality. It really Figures the few that I did not clone turn out the best LOL.. it\'s k though as I have 3 sadhu, and 7 hashberry seeds saved for future use, and a load of nice strains just waiting to be grown.. I for sure will keep an ice, wonder diesel, ppp, ak-48, blue mystic LMFAO I want a good mother of all the seeds I have waiting on deck.. Only thing is no room to keep them all. So unfortunitly many will be short lived.

Everything else is going good.. I did though notice a bit of yellowing on the bottoms of my NL, and hashberry. I added 1 tsp of epson salt to 1 gallon of distilled, and really gave those two a good drinking till it ran out the bottom. i figured that would cover my bases of a mag def. or nute burn. I have some advanced nutrients overdrive on the way, and I want to try that asap, so I figured a flush now was needed for these two as they are in smaller pots too...

Oh I also have a ppp seedling I started. This one will be grown till the second node, topped then let to grow out only till healed, and then I\'ll place it straight into 12/12 to flower out. I just wanted to try a plant straight into 12/12 but I want to make it a bit worth it, so I think topping very young, and then flowered will yield a bit more then placed straight into 12/12. I\'ve seen one done like this before, and it was just two very long 30 gram colas. Looked like the twin towers till those greasy fucks put planes through them

  13. Little update.. I now have 7 of 8 clones rooted within 10 days of cutting them off the mother. not bad, not bad and very simple method for newbies too.

If your experianced grower your probably saying why did he waste his time writing this long post, but if your a newbee or new to cloning the realization of not having to plant another seed or worry about loosing space to males is awesome! I know the first time I read about cloning and saw how many failed I was a bit turned off from tryng. Cloning though is pretty simple. I mean it can be as easy as placing the clone in a cup of water under a light. people have done if for years just like this with all sorts of plants, and it works well, but may take a bit longer to actually root then going through a little simple process such as below

How I took my clones: The clones I cut were from lower branches that were not winning the fight for light over the dominate top shoots, and canopy. I took these clones as far as 16 days into flower. My duban posion x skunk was taken at a more advanced stage of flower then the others, and already had a good grouping of calyx/hairs ect. I choose the lower shoots as they would be what they call popcorn buds, and pretty much would end up harvested premature if the whole plant is cut down at once.

The stuff... a little bowl or something to soak the clones in. jiffy peat pellets, shultz rooting powder, scissor, and well that\'s all that\'s needed :) . I set my clone soak up with cold water, and just a drop or two of superthrive (superthrive not really needed, but if you have it what the hell). I took the peat pellets, and soaked them in good clean bottle water with just a few drops of liquid karma till swelled and ready (lk if you have it, not really needed)... take the pellets out, and squeezed out any extra water... Then I take a nail or something big enough to poke a hole in the pellet so the clone can be placed in without all the shutlz rooting powder coming off.

As I said above I used the lower shoots.. As I cut them off the plant they go right into the cold water/superthrive bowl to soak. After you got all your clones soaking your ready for the next step. I trimmed off any \"extra\" veggataion on the shoot. I personally leave one or two leaves, and the main growth head. Some people cut all but 1 leaf off, and even that one is trimmed in half. I did\'nt do it to that extent... Ok when you got your clones ready make sure you stick the end in the water, and cut the stem on an angle to allow more chance of water to be taken up (more surface area for water to hit). After taking this cut I scrape the part of the stem with my nail or edge of scissor that will be inside the peat pellet. This gives them places for the roots to grow from a bit easier they say.

Ok once you got them cut up and ready you go ahead and dip it into the shultz rooting powder or similiar rooting powder deep enough so whatever is under the surface has powder. Ok as you place the stem into the peat pellet make sure it goes in deep.. you want about 1 inch under the pellet to allow the tap root to come out the bottom of the pellet instead of the sides of the pellet through the mesh.. if some go through,a nd they will it\'s no big deal (I just cut the mesh from around the pellet the best i can before planting).. Some dont even cut it at all and plant it right in. I persdonally wanted my tap root free though as that one if restricted will harm growth the most.

Ok I keep the clones in a moist humid greenhouse type setting under a low wattage light.. this can be a clear topped tubberware, soda bottle cut in two and put back together with the clone inside. For lighting I actually used a warm white t5 13 watt under cabinet fluorescent to get them rooted (the pic below shows cfl, but that was removed, and switched with the t5.. Once the roots are out the bottom/sides of the peat pellets I cut the mesh off (that\'s my thing, I think most skip this step) and plant them into a 16 oz cup of soil/perilite and place them under stronger cool white cfls till ready for flower.. Of course repot as needed.. that\'s it.. Very easy, and most of all it works.

Cloning can Keep your favorite plants around forever (well not forever, but it takes a long time they say for the vigor to lower to the point you\'d have to plant again). All clones will have the same growing characteristics as the mother, and the best part is it\'s female just like the mother!! Nice even, and consistent growth.. Time for a scrog anyone??

Ok on to scrogging.. What you will need to scrog....... LMAO Just joking;) .. enjoy and keep on growing:smoking: . Hey if this gets one other grower to try, and get some roots the first time then it was worth the effort

  15. little update.. I\'m 8 for 8 on my clones:hello: . All rooted, and tranplsnted. Got a new seed order of potent purple -reeferman, and purple tops-hiogh quality seeds.. I wanted some color in my garden for a future run, so figured these were two nice, and affordable strains to try with. They say lots of color is temp dependent. Has anyone tried these strains, and grew some purple?????

Everything was watered today.. I used pro blend pro bloom at 800 ppm, and added liquid karma & Ionic boost till ppm hit 900 and watered.. Things are going really good so far, and there are A LOT more trichomes on the buds/leaves this round.. Think I\'m starting to get things dialed in as growth, and trichome production are at the highest I\'ve experianced. It\'s that or this pro blend pro is an awesome organic fert. that really brings out the best in the plants

  16. Congrats on the clones man. I bet a mix of purple and pink haired plants in a garden would look pretty good, and the mix of the smoke would be good too after harvest. Its looking pretty sweet right now.

  17. Thanks Warez. The clones are doing great!! They are off, and vegging now:hello: . I topped half of them to get two main growth shoots.. I\'m going to be keeping 3 of them as mothers, so I will be doing a lot of pruning, topping, fimming tieing LOL to get those many new growth shoots to use for cuttings.

Update to the garden.. Today I recieved my Advanced Nutirents Overdrive, and they threw in a free sample of carbo load. Only thing carbo load is a powder, and I have nothing that measures powder in grams.... Directions call for 1.2 grams per galon... The overdrive is liquid though, and I\'ll be starting that today if they ned watering.

  18. this chart saved my plants lives.

  19. Well I\'m closing in on day 25 in flower, and let me just tell you... LET THE BUD PORN BEGIN!!! Day 25, and my indica dominate strains are just becomng coered in yummy crystals. My ICE, and northern lights are leaning very sativa a bit behind the others, but everything is coming along nicely..

I watered them today with ro water, and pure blend pro at 3/4 strength. ppm hit 800, and then I added Advanced Nutrients overdrive & Carbo load till ppm hit 1000. Plants are loving this pure blend pro, and are handling this organic fert no problem.

indicas to the left, sativas to the right, and her I am stuck in the middle with you:smoking:.

Oh now for those yummy bud shots!!

My clones are doing great!! Got them all transplanted, and the furthest along already topped... I set a little clone/veg closet that will keep my clones till the flower closet is ready or them.. Some will stay behind to be mommas, and some will go it to be flowered next round.
