not really, family guy is just a new age rip off of the simpsons. ah, hate me if i speak the truth, but really. a dad who's an idiot - Homer/peter a smart sister who no one pays attention too - lisa/meg a hot wife who somehow ended up with a fat idiot for a husband - marge/louis a stupid brother who takes after his dad - Bart/chris a dog - santas little helper/brian a baby who no one can understand but they are smarter then the family - maggie/stewie
They have some funny episodes. But all entertainment does that look at movies, dodgeball/happy gilmore Underdog with threat of losing home to somebody An old handicapped coach teaches him/them how to play Underdog beats bad guy in a sport where bad guy is supposed to be better And then coach/mentor gets killed

I thought this initially, but after watching Family Guy a lot, I have been converted from a die hard Simpsons fan to an absolute Family Guy fiend lol. Family Guy is SO much wittier and much more funny in my opinion. Not even comparable to the Simpsons.
I agree completely. The Simpsons used to be decent enough, but lately the writing went down and the clogged toilet of a haunted house.
