Last week I had to leave my girlfriend and wound up moving back home to my mothers, at 22. Never thought I would be here again, we had a dramatic past but it is mostly better now I suppose. As soon as I got in town I started looking for jobs, been 6 hours away for 3 years, didn't have many leads. Found a help wanted ad and 3 days in town I got a pretty chillin job. I am pretty sure I passed the piss test, as I had someone piss for me. Gonna be doing package/shipment tracking on the phone. Mostly angry people wondering where their shit is from what I understand, but it pays 9.50/hr + bonuses based on performance, and overtime is common. I'm feeling pretty good, turning life around or something... Now I just need a part time night/weekend job.
Damn man, 9.50 an hour.. Damn.. I'm sorry bro. Shit is hard to the south, it seems. As long as you're further along than you were before, is what matters. And no offence but everyone in the current generation had a dramatic past I'm sorry guys but the 80's were just fucked up..
Now I am embarrassed to say this will easily be the highest paying job I have had. Different perspectives I guess, growing up my mother never had any job and my father wasn't around so just this job makes me feel big ballin
Hey man, a job is a job. Anything to get the cash flowing is better than sitting on the couch with nothing sitting in the bank. Plus different areas have different wages.
lol at people saying 9.50 is hard. Try out 7.25, Minimum wage yo. Fucking retarded what i do for 7.25 in an hour. no way to move out on that wage....
Since your here in Texas try the oil field. South Texas is booming man. Apply at Chesapeake energy, H & P drilling, Trinadad we can't find enough hands.
You guys must be in the highest of society talking down on 9.50/hr thats a god send down here in san diego where finding a job is like finding a black cop not gonna happen
Yeah man a job is a job, a lot of people can't even find one.. I have 2 jobs and still feel like shit because a year and one month ago the girl I was with for a long time left. It's gotten a little easier but even with two jobs paying over 13/hour I think I should feel better but I don't.
idk what some of you guys are saying 9$/hour is better then 7$ min wage that 90% jobs still pay. its not that bad.
Yup, that's why you go get a college degree. If you have a "minimum" education (i.e. just HS) then you get minimum wage and have to work for it. You get what you put into the system. It's not the most palatable system in the world, but employers want highly educated people. Why should they pay someone without a degree more money when they can get someone WITH a degree for less? That's the way it works in the good old USA
Well school isn't for everyone, some would rather not be pawns of the systems or robots with degrees.....talkin all high and mighty because they have a false sense of royalty due to the fact that they went to school for 4 years, got a job to buy stuff they don't need to impress people you don't even know or like. Id rather live life ... Now I'm off to listen to CONCRETE JUNGLE.........
not high society, the pay is low...at 40hrs a week it won't put him over the low poverty level...not an insult, just fact.

School is not for everyone. However, education is the key to success in life. If you don't believe that and are an autodidact... Well, you probably had to look up that last word and don't know who Walt Whitman was.
yep..education is best. hard work good hard work fine but first take care of head... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qX7dvAFAHQ]The Toyes-Smoke two Joints - YouTube[/ame]
