In a few years i'll have the means to move to Amsterdam if i wanted and have a well paying job in a shipyard. It sounds like a great place from what everyone says, but would it still be a great place to live at full time with a job and everything. Finding a job wouldn't be to much of a problem but how is it when your not their on vacation. I wanna either move to somewhere in the Netherlands and have a nice balanced lifestyle of smoking, workin' and partyin' or move to Alberta and work steady on the pipelines making mad money (without herb for months and months on end ). But if i worked on the pipelines i would never get to really spend money and after a few years would have enough to start a business somewhere below the US and live in a tropical place the rest of my life.
It sounds like you have ever been there yet. same here and im sure weve all heard all the hype. From your post It sounds like the second option is more realistic and probably more enjoyable for you long term. After youre done with all that work youd have a lot of time on your hands to chill. Id say at least visit the place before you decide to up and move there. Obviously the choice is yours im just basing this on what you said. Either way good luck dude! And Im sure youd have a blast in Amsterdam.
i fell in love with the place the first time i went, i'd love to work there, the Dutch have a good philosophy of life, you know like less working hours than the U.K. and how it's actually increased productivity, stuff like that.........and the city, amazing, going again next week..........but like they said......go first, or ask about some dutch messageboards............ps what do you work as a welder?......pipefighter? Peace out..........Sid
