My question is this what do I put in the bottom of my containers? In the past I used nothing larger than 8" (to keep size down) I have more room now and I will be using 2 gal. nursery pots. In the past I just put in pea gravel at the bottom, but these new containers the drainage holes are so big that the pea gravel would just fall out. I really do not want to try and find large gravel 3/4 of an in. at least, what do I use, my first idea was to use styrafoam peanuts, or do I just put the soil in the containers and go with it. On a side not I found a good grow store that is close to my house and will be trans plating into Happy Frog Organic.
I know this must seem a stupid question, but I just want to know what to do. I had a good first grow and am expanding in small steps and just don't want to screw it up on something so simple.
