My very first plant is currently growing in a pot full of pH-regulated soil in my backyard. I water it regularly when there is a slight yellowish tinge to its leaves. It has been rainy lately but it gets plenty of sunlight regardless. I found a spot inside, protected from the elements, where I want to grow it for increased safety and to reap the benefits of indoor growing like not depending on the sun for sunlight. Would moving this outdoor plant indoors be detrimental to its health? Are there any precautions I should make while making this move? Thanks! P.S. I have noticed that my plant likes to grow in the direction of the sun. To prevent this from causing balance issues later on I have periodically rotated the plant 180 degrees. Opinions on this strategy?
You don't gotta worry about moving it from outdoors to indoors, it'll be fine. I put my plants out at day and then move them inside under my lights when the sun goes down. The only thing you have to worry about is pests when bringing an outdoors plant indoors, as it will spread to your other plants fast. One of the most common ways to get a spider mite infection is by using tools on indoor plants that were used outside without being cleaned first. That was a smart idea, its always a good idea to rotate your plant even if its indoors, so all parts of the plant are getting light.
