Moving on to true organinc growing wiht no till

  1. Its finally time for me to set up my no till garden. I'm going into flower now with my last run with bio bizz but then its the compost life for me.

    So the plan;

    15 gal fabric pots
    smart pot.jpg
    blumat watering system

    cover crop
    wc.jpg

    Soil

    Compost for teas

Some form of aerator for the teas
    brewer.jpg
molasses, kelp, fish emulsion for teas
    emultion.jpg kelp.jpg molases.jpg

15 gal smart pots with the soil listed above ( i cant make my own for now that's why Ive found somewhere to purchase it). I'm also going to purchase bags of mulch to cover the tops and then lay white clover on that.
    Blumats to optimize watering.
And compost and bits to make the teas.

I have quite some time to get this together. I'm still researching and always reading so any and all advice is appreciated.

Ive only really started delving into this world and only understand the basics. i know about the soil food web but am confused about how it comes to be in pots in tents. are the beneficial nematodes and mites already in the soil or would you need to introduce them? Is this different as im purchasing the soil? what if you make the soil where does everything come from then? Do you even need them in confined spaces such as pots :/ ?
also what about adding worms directly to the pots?

I know in the soil food web in goes on to insects and small mammals but i think worms are as far as i can go to having the soil food web in a tent in my bedroom lol..

This is where my head is at lol. thanks guy.

  3. If you use a good living compost or castings the critters will be there already - yes to adding worms - a good mulch is key to having a good living soil - I would also do Grokashi or regular bokashi under the mulch. My bathroom is my veg room lol - all the critters stay in their pots - don't worry !!! :p

the living soil I found is from a farm and is what they sell to grow vegetables. It too is a bit expensive but it should last for a long time and the composition to my untrained eyes looks very good.

I currently use eco thrive and am 50/50 on wether I should continue using it. I will look into it more. I also use boisys microbial tea but I’ll be dropping that for sure..

  5. Sometimes I feel like I got a grasp on this world and sometimes I fell so dumb. And now I don’t even know what your reply means :bang:

“BB” , “sand for p&k”, what sorcery is this :confusedalt:

  6. Forget the bio bizz, and just use common sand for the potassium and phosphorus requirements for your plants,
as an organic grower you gotta ask how they ship and store their compounds and yet claim its organic

    cheers/
