Here's my situation. I'm living in Brooklyn, NY and plan on moving to San Diego or Los Angeles in a week or so. My landlord is giving me the boot at the end of this month, due partly to me being behind on rent and partly because her sister and her kids are going to me moving in. I paid her what I owed her, but she still told me the same thing. So I have to be out at the end of this month, and I'd much rather try and figure my living arraignments out where it's warm. I literally have like $200 if I pay my phone bill, but I figure if I'm going to add excitement to my life, I should do it while I'm young and just go full force with whatever plans I think of. I just need a place to stay when I arrive there, which I'm looking into. I can stay in a hostel for a few nights and I found this site couchsurfing.com so i figure I can do that for a few days as well and in the meantime go out during the day and find a job. I might be thinking this is easier than it sounds though. I lived in SD before for a year and a half or so, but I left on bad terms at the place I was living at and broke contact with a bunch of the people I was dealing with out there. I still know a few people, but I'm not sure how long I can go that route. I guess this is me asking for advice, help, suggestions, opinions, whatever. Shoot it at me.
