Moved into a new, NON-SMOKING apartment

  1. Alrighty, here comes the over-paranoid noob question (a great way to start ones GC career).

I'm a casual toker. And never had that awkward "living with my parents house and smokin'" experience, so I never had to hide my use before. In fact, I don't really like the smell of weed, so I would always smoke out in the woods in my backyard.

All of mhy friends that smoke just clam bake their rooms, so they *always* smell. and my friends either smoke, or don't smoke. So I have no clue what a casual smoker's room would smell like.

enough explaining... My landlord is coming by to drop some papers off for my roommate in 3 days. I have very limited resources at the moment (I'm down to 1 roll of TP, so no sploof), but can get some air fresheners or whatever tomorrow. Can I smoke my bowl carefully out the window and be 95% confident that their will be no smell in 3 days? everything is carpeted. I DO have a carpeted covered porch I'd feel fine in. and the 2 bathrooms are tile.

should I smoke or just wait and buy a MLFB? Thank you good people of GC.

  2. Just smoke outside if you're so paranoid about it

  3. i rip bong in my 12x12 room virtually every night, not even bothering to blow it out the window, and the smell is gone in like 45 min after im done. you'll be fine man

  4. I forgot to mention. Theres a huge old people complex behind me that is light 24/7. and I'm surrounded by parking lots...and old people.

  5. and I just moved... wow where is my mind? I was at my friends house a litlte bit ago, and thought I was more clear headed. Dear lord. I don't have a secluded back yard anymore :(.

  6. You'll be fine as long as your not smoking j's or blunts. Bong is next best after vape. If you use a bowl just cover it up after every hit to minimize smell. But you'll be fine

  7. Wow dude I think like 80% of people overreact on the smell. I always bake my room and the smell is gone in like 30 mins

  8. Alright. I was hoping that by embarrassing myself I'd be more likely to enjoy myself this evening. I can't not smoke in my new place. I never thought about it until now.

I need to get out and smoke more.

  9. lol thats what YOU think!
Realistically it takes a couple hours with windows open for detectable smell to be gone from a casual smoke. 24 hours should be over kill. But yea if you are chronically smoking then the apartment/ curtains/ carpet might smell a little danky but since thats not your case then yea... a day of airing the place out should be overkill like i said.

  10. yeah man if you lean out the window then your house will be fine in 5 minutes and the window might smell for an hour? if its super dank and you cough one in the room then 12 hours is overkill

  11. I can't stress this enough...smoke buddies are fucking awesome. My gf and I have smoked for the past 3 years almost every day in our apartment, we blow our smoke in here...in 2-3 months we throw it away and buy another, the diy toilet paper, carbon, dryer sheet filters are okay...but it's 15 dollars every 3 months for these things and they don't fall apart at all, I spend $300 on an ounce a month...and $500 on my grow set-up...so $15 is not an issue. Here's a pic...use it ALL the time...smell virtually all gone...:bongin:

Why do you have to pay for a grow and buy??

Costs money to start a grow and it also takes time. If he wants to smoke during that time he needs to go out and buy.

  14. I did assume it wasn't his first year. My bad. Is it your first year?

  15. Man, it is that, I quit smoking for 3 months, and first shit I smoked was og kush, that shit was going around for months, I would leave my dorm go for a bowl ride, my truck would just reak after blazing, anyway I would head back and be paranoid about people walking by my truck, but really there is no need to be paranoid about smell, everything will be fine.
