mounting inline fan to ceiling ?

  1. In the past I've had my inline sitting on my tent roof. Well now I'm adding a second light and a carbon filter and would rather not have that much weight resting on the bars.

When I got my inline fan it came with mounting bracket, but I can't seem to figure out how to attach the fan to the bracket. There are no screw holes etc to attach one to the other. How do I go about achieving this?

Sorry I'm a little new to diy and the use of non-standard tools.

  2. duct tape.

lol j/k i don't know as i have not mounted one yet, although i wouldn't be screwing it in, i'd rather hang it from bungies to reduce noise/vibration.

  3. Haha I was like...really??? Had me laughing there. So I guess really what your saying is mount the bracket to the ceiling and then wrap a hungie around it and hook it to the bracket, not connecting it permenantly? That could work. Just need some bungies -.-

  4. yeah i would like my room to be silent as possible.

  5. Alrighttt off to homedepot for a few bungees
