  1. winter is almost here. what are your guy's plans for the winter season?

for myself im looking to get a second kenda claw rear mud tire out front for the snow. also i'd like to convert back to 1x8 from 1x for winter as I like to pedal a little faster in the snow. and see about getting the front brake going again with a new rotor as the front is a bit warped and wont run quiet.

  2. Fuck. Never got a alert telling me someone replied to this thread. Around here, I don't ride in snow, really do not have to, lately. Shit will be gone in a few days, just depends on where you want to ride, lot's of option's for me within a 20 mile radius from where I live. Just put on some new tires a few weeks ago, 29 x 2.6 front and back, grid casing Specialized Butcher and Purgatory for $60 each, not too bad at all, right now, some really nice rubber.

    Some pics from today's ride.

  6. Went 39 miles on the pacific crest trail 2 weeks ago. Cold as balls and there’s a lot packing ur bike around! Luckily mine only weighs 19 pounds ;). But overall there’s nothing better then riding threw nature.

  9. Been a little bit over 2 weeks since my last ride. That's the longest lapse for many months. Snow is starting to melt, but the temps are going up, almost 40 today.

  12. im calling it quits on the 1x1 system put in a order for a 34t 8 speed casset so i'll be converting to a 1x8 system.

haven't been biking as often too so it's something different to saddle up.

Here’s my older model specialized I take on serious trails .[IMG]
My newer GT is more for light trails and cruising but it can handle a ruff ride no problem.
