I second "Surrogates." That movie totally flew over people's heads. It's a metaphor for social media and it's happening right now in our world. People are increasingly insecure about themselves and live their life online as a big lie to the rest of the world. It's sad and it's only getting exponentially worse.

    Here are mine:
    - Vanilla Sky
    - Crank and Crank 2 with Jason Statham
    - Permanent Midnight
    - KIDS
    - The Stand Up Guys

  3. Snowpiercer
Children of Men and Looper are very underrated.
    Moon
    gattaca
    Europa Report
    Kingsman: The Secret Service
    Pandorum

    Tons more

  4. Snowpiercer was a fantastic movie. Absolutely underrated.

This is a tough question for me. I'm a giant fan of classic films which I feel are entirely underrated nowadays. Most people know about Casablanca, Psycho, Citizen Kane, and Gone with the Wind, but there are so many amazing films that will never be watched by current or future generations. To name a few:
    - The Battle of Algiers
    - The Last Picture Show
    - Paper Moon
    - The Seventh Seal
    - To Kill a Mockingbird

    As for more recent films:
    - Enter the Void
    - Wristcutters: A Love Story
    - Synecdoche, New York
    - 4 Rooms

  6. Fight Club.    More men need to be raised on this.

The Matrix obviously.  It addresses  Brain in a Vat which is something everyone should seriously consider.

Duck, You Sucker! This is a fantastic movie that no one seems to have ever seen. Sergio Leone was a genius. He never made a bad movie.
