Most tolerant place in canada?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by DoARip, Nov 4, 2012.

  1. Hey everyone, I currently live in Nova Scotia.
People here generally are pretty tolerant of marijuana, but there's still a lot of people who view it as an evil drug.
I've come to realize these people rarely change their views.
So my question to all Canadians out there is:
What is the most tolerant place for marijuana in Canada?
Meaning where in Canada are people most tolerant and educated about marijuana?
I understand no matter where you go there's still going to be people who are strongly against weed, but some places are more tolerant than others.
I hear B.C is pretty pro pot, but I'd like to hear from people first hand.

If I get caught by a police officer in B.C am I less likely to be charged than in other places?
Here in Nova Scotia it really depends on the officer, sometimes you get arrested, sometimes they let you go or ignore the fact you have weed on you altogether.

  2. Anybody?

  3. Im in Windsor Ontario, and i believe if its anything under 28 grams they usually take it away, or bring you to a spot with mud/dirt drop it in and smush it in front of u, if you have a scale and weed, you get arrested, if you have weed with pipes usualy they smush/take the weed and give the pipe back, and if ur over an Oz then ur going to jail
otherwise police just brush it away if its like 10 grams or less

That's the way it should be everywhere.
    Do you live in Windsor?

  5. yeah im in Windsor, sadly my hook-up here is pretty shit, hopefully i become friends with a supplier soon i want to meet a supplier who actually has different strains with names of their weed, unlike my dealer who has no idea what hes selling and picks up by the ounces lol and i cant get in touch with his supplier

    That sucks man.
I'm looking to move sometime soon.
My top two choices are B.C or Ontario.
Cost of living is pretty high in B.C now though so Ontario looks like my best bet.

  7. lol come to windsor

  8. That's easy, look at Vancouver, BC. Heard Ontario is pretty tolerant, I only been to Ottawa so I don't know about the other areas.

  9. Dafuq? Take it from me I have lived in for close to 15 years.. and no it is not your best bet.. The police here are jack-asses and they will go out of their way to boot fuck you over mis-demeanors..

Not to mention property taxes are fucking UNREAL and the job market is slim around here.. Unless of course you set something up before hand you can look forward to working fast food...

In my honest opinion.. If you are looking for places that are socially acceptable for weed.. Look to BC.

If you are looking for somewhere remote that you can grow and smoke in peace, move to Quebec..

J'abite dans Quebec pour comme huite ane et ces tres magnifique..

The police are assholes in Quebec though but the odds of getting caught are slim to none.. Police are rarely seen in Quebec, one of my theories is that they are busy being assholes in the bigger cities.. But if you move into the outskirts and the boonies you will be fine..

So honestly your best choices I will list in numerical order from best to worst..

    1. BC
    2. Quebec
    3. Sask and Ont

    Good luck!

  10. Cops aren't that bad in montreal . You can smoke weed without thinking twice about it and the cops will leave you alone. I've never had a friend fined or jailed for weed . Most of the times they simply take your weed and smoke it themselves or ask you to go back home when you are high . I got a friend who had a free ride home from the cops like that .

If the cops here really wanted to arrest smokers , they'd be waiting on the outskirts of the Bell Center during shows , they'd be busting colleges and university residences all the time and they go from houses to houses in Montreal-Nord or something .

  11. That's true man, I can't say I have ever seen the QPF bust anyone for small weed amounts but they truly are assholes when it comes to road laws.. Speeding etc.. Do not get pulled over by the QPF They are assholes!!!!!!!!!!

Also are you from Montreal? I've been there so many times haha It's a fucking gorgeous city and the night life is amazing :smoke: I actually went there for UFC 125 a few years back and got drunk and high as fuck for the event and roamed the streets at 4am with my pa haha We got pizza and had a good ass time :bongin:

  12. I remember when I visited Montreal, I saw a big green pot leaf light stream that might show that they are lenient towards weed. I hope so because I'm trying to transfer to McGill university there and want to smoke while I stay.

  13. Do it man, you will not regret... Montreal is the party life of Canada and I'm not exagerating.. You will find everything there from cheap booze(cheapest in canada), awesome weed and slutty french chicks(also fucking awesome)..

If I had a choice to move to the Bahamas or Montreal I would choose Montreal 9/10 times lol

Also the nightclub scene is off the fucking hook :smoke:

  14. Yasss! I heard so much wonderful things about Montreal, I'm definitely coming here for college.

  15. I'm in NS too. Not sure what part you are in, but where I am people are pretty laid back about it. In fact, most people do it themselves.

  16. Hands down British columbia. The bud we usually get is almost always dank and locally grown. Policing isn't even a concern. You can walk around smoking a joint here and not even be bothered. Now yes you may get a few glances but besides that, it carries very less taboo. The cops don't usually care. I have heard some of my friends talk about how they had cops pass them while they were smoking and say nothing.

  17. I'm from and still live in Halifax, been across Canada, and I'd say Hali is probably the second most tolerant place I've been to personally.

Vancouver is far and away the most tolerant, it might as well just be fully legal there cause you can pretty much spark up anywhere. They even have a "dispensary" that will sell to you whether or not you have an actual card if you have some evidence of an appropriate chronic pain or illness.

Other than Vancouver and Halifax, Montreal and Toronto were probably the most tolerant areas I've been to.

Yeah I gotta agree a lot of people are laid back about it here.
I was in a buddies apartment doing bong rips and the landlady walked in.
She didn't really make a big deal out of us smoking she just said she wanted us to blow it out the window lol

  19. Nice to see so many east coasters coming out of hiding :smoke: Newfoundlander myself but I lived in Lower Sackville, NS for a few years..

    Cheers :bongin:

  20. I live in Alberta, everyone I know smokes weed... Back in high school even my teachers didn't care, and a few of my teachers were pot heads themselves. Pretty tolerant over here, I rarely hear of anyone getting busted or in too much trouble with the cops because of it.
