title says it all. post what you guys feel are the best foods to consume for a sufficient source of protein (not much for me, Im only 130 lbs at the moment), that also leave room for anything else the body needs. Would be great if the food helps in body mass gain as well My workout routine consists of only weight training 3-5 times a week, 1.5 hours each time. cardio isn't a huge concern right now
You really shouldn't lift more than 45 minutes to an hour... Salmon, Tuna, Chicken, Turkey, Beans, Eggs(mainly whites; they, whole eggs, have a bunch of cholesterol), halal beef... (6-8 servings daily) Good complex carbs (whole wheats, brown rice) (8-12 servings daily) Fruits (3-5 servings daily) Veggies (4-6 servings daily) Drink a gallon of water, take a multivitamin, do 15 minutes of cardio prior to workout 20 minutes afterwards. Stretching before and after as well... Check out bodybuilding.com for different exercises/the forums
I work out with friends, so I'd say at least 20 minutes is gone from socializing, spotting, etc... Ty for the post man, but if it's not too much trouble can you post some specific purchases I should be looking for, say... something I would buy at a local market or grocery store. It's just that the recommended servings info has been drilled in my head so many times, I find it quite useless now and would rather focus on the actual product im consuming. Sorry it seems a bit much
If you're looking to bulk up and put on some muscle here is a list of foods I used to gain 21 pounds of lean muscle. My personal Top 3 bulking foods. Organic peanut-butter. High in calories, protein, and healthy fats. Easily one of the top 5 weight gain foods. Whole milk. High in calories, protein, and easy to consume. Another one of my person top 5 weight gain foods. Whole grain/Wheat bread. These breads tend to be more dense, and natural than white bread. You can usually find bread with types of nuts in it, which are delicious. They help add easy calories, and a good deal of protein.
Its gonna be tuna, lean cuts of chicken breast, lean beef brisket, egg whites, and a whey isolate powder.

Odwalla's chocolate super protein has 36g protein per 15 oz bottle. and it's tasty. $3 at shaws, but its a serious meal, its 60% of ur daily protein!
KillerKush's links are great. What I tend to buy: 10 pound freezer packs of chicken- from BJ's or Costco or Sam's Club (any bulk store) Walmart might also have them Frozen Vegetables- from any store. These are dirt cheap. Just pop em in the microwave in a bowl with a bit of water in it and bam you have vegetables Gallons of milk- duh Peanut butter- duh Whole Wheat Pasta and Brown Rice- get it anywhere. obviously bigger containers are more cost effective
Yeah I have been taking some Whey Protein powder. Has 60g of Protein in three scoops. I mix 2 scoops along with 2 tbps of nesquik with milk and drink..GREAT after-workout drink!
Thanks! next time i visit i shall purchase exactly that haha. sucks that sam's club is gone from canada, that place was amazing for bulking food. costco is too far At least for now, I'm trying to avoid powder or drinks and instead focusing on eating more as a whole. maybe i'll reconsider when i get my diet consistent, now it doesn't seem too productive or worth it to get powder. That mix sounds delish tho, ill give you that
wow that is quite a lot maybe not an option right now but i'll definitely look out for in in the future, thanks!
