This is my first grow and the top looks pretty good but at the bottom i got smaller limbs and leaves and i figure its do to not enough light. So im go add another cfl to the box and focus it on the bottom and middle parts of the plant will that direct light hurt it in any way.
You should be fine doing that. I do it too cause CFL's are really limited on their light. just try not to dry out your soil with any bulbs. It really does help the undergrowth.
