More Federal Hypocrisy

  1. Two bills have been introduced so far--S.436 in the Senate and H.R.1076 in the House. Each of the companion bills is titled "Internet Stopping Adults Facilitating the Exploitation of Today's Youth Act," or Internet Safety Act. Each contains the same language: "A provider of an electronic communication service or remote computing service shall retain for a period of at least two years all records or other information pertaining to the identity of a user of a temporarily assigned network address the service assigns to that user."

...The thing is that you can count on a few of their own getting busted!

  2. But doesn´t your congress have a pernicious habit of exempting themselves from a lot of the legislation they think should apply to others??

  3. So what is this actually going to be doing to us?

Does that mean no more porn???? Those lousy, rotten, good-for-nuthin muther f%&*ers have got to die!!!

On a serious note.......sounds like something to monitor.

  5. I like that bundle somewhat OldPork, but being from a computer background I can tell you it's nearly impossible to mask your IP address completely, you literally would need to stop all plug-ins like Java, RSS feeds, etc etc and that would make browsing the internet a lot more difficult since so many sites utilize plugins and ActiveX controls.

So basically that bill when passed will require sites like these forums to maintain a record of who you are for 2 years? That's pretty shitty, considering I think sites like Facebook and MySpace are great for the government anyways to find out who people communicate with regularly and is a great way to track groups of friends and acquaintances etc. The US is so fucked, it's ridiculous, the last President thinks he's God and just goes against all the laws and regulations this country was built on to tap our phone lines without any guidelines and now this... what's next a camera up my ass to see how my food is digesting.. Big Brother sucks.

  6. Don´t mention cameras. I am British, the damned things are EVERYWHERE - don´t have them here much in sunny Spain though.

yeah anyone ever heard of the Internet 2? its the same type of shit. your location is monitored and your social secuirty number or a special identifaction process is needed to access the internet and your monitored in every way to prevent "cyber terrorism and cyber crime". this is fuckin bullshit. the last completely "free" forum (the internet) is now being taken away from the people and the freedom of speech again "abridged" (1st amendment) in yet another plot to control the People of this country and heard us around like sheep. The enemy here is the same enemy that controls and regulates our currency, the central bank, and keeps us in debt and is tied in with most of the crazy bullshit schemes that will inevitably in my mind, ruin humanity. and to the person that asked "what does this mean for us?" that basically means that if you post a log or even a question on here your a suspected drug manufacturer and i would be suprised if you got your door kicked in over some photographs you posted online.
