Moon Phases

  1. So I searched and found nothing. I forgot where I have read it,but I recall reading that planting seedlings during a certain phase of the moon can increase root growth in young seedlings, and that harvesting on a certain moon phase is the best, because all the nutrients are pulled up through the plant. Has anyone planted by the moon? Have you seen any differences? Positive or negative?

  2. i have read an article bout it somewhere on the web.i mean i think it would work cuz the moon be putting the ocean's tides right??

pretty powerfull if ya ask me.

do you know what was the moon phase for the last week?
my seedling seemed to be doing very well:D

  3. Ive tried it euphoric toker, but i found it to be impossible to follow. The reason is because so many other factors force our behavior. If the almanac notes the optimal dates for planting or harvesting, then I'll bet you a hundred dolllars it rains all that week!... or turns colder than hell. If the harvest moon is next week, then i promise something else will interfere Rippers, disease, ..... its always something forcing your hand and ruin your plan.

If it can go wrong, it will. If you live in one of the states where its legal to grow or have a green house, it might be doable.

  4. My 2010 guerilla grow was all "luck of the draw " for me that resulted in a good bud harvest...my 2011 grow will be organic ,and I will try planting by the moon signs...just makes sense to me to grow in harmony with nature...I hope to journal the grow to document the results...I purchased a 2011 Gardening by the Moon calendar online that I will be referencing...you can simply google search " Gardening by the Moon" to find the calendar also there is a brief article on medical marijuana on the website as well.

  5. does it say to plant seeds during waxing or waning and which specific phase?

  6. Here ya go...The best astrological sign for planting herbs, aromatic and beautiful flowers is the air sign of Libra. This sign can be used to encourage growth for the plants that are harvested for their blooms. Virgo rules and benefits the growth of all medicinal plants. Plant seeds in the first or second quarter, when the moon is growing. The moon changes sign every 2-3 days and some signs are fertile, and some are barren and dry. Choose a Libra moon, or the other fertile water signs of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

the calendar was only $14.95 you should do an online search for Gardening by the Moon and buy one...for more specific details...Hope this helps...God bless all 2011 ganja grows!

  7. I'm sure all of that info could be found online for free... Where's the science supporting these wild claims??

  8. really don't care where the science is...if it works use it ,if not chunk it!... and you where right about the free information on the web, thats where I highlighted, clipped and then pasted the info from. ;)

  9. I believe it has to do with the gravitational pull of the moon, the same way it affects tides.

  10. There ya go..."gravitational pull'...there's the science of it! the lunar influence effects the tides... thus the water signs mentioned in the web clip. I also know that it effects people as well!?!...thus the term lunatic. I guess I'll find out in the coming seasons in my home vegetable garden... and my secret wilderness garden. Oh yeah ever hear of a Harvest Moon?
