Hello everybody ! I may have a stupid question about cloning and monstercropping. I have my plant in blooming period, I take some clone from it, get some roots and then reveg. Can I use this monstercrop clones to make a steady and viable long term mother plant ? I could take clone from every blooming period but I'm afraid of mutations and variation. I would love to get a "monstercrop clone motherplant" and keep it. It is possible or I'll have to stick on the regular method? Thanks you for your answer ! Sorry for my english.
Ohhh ok, so Monstercrop mother plant wont make clones (taken in veg state) in "monster type" ! monstercrop clones have to be taken in blooming state, if not it returns to normal clones even if it comes from monstercrop clones right ? I get it now ! Thanks you very much
yes i take the clones around day 20 of flower or less then it takes about 20 days or less to root but they are fun and can grow into HUGE mother plants i mean like bushes
they are tricky to get rooted though so take a bunch what i do is when i lollipop in week 3 flower i use all the cuts for clones sometimes they all root but not always how do you clone? aerocloner, peat pods ?
I will use a areacloner yeah. I read that can be long to get some roots. So you don't use classic mother plant anymore ? Do you get stable and steady results from this monstercropping technique comparing to classic clones ? You told me it wasnt possible, I would love to do some monster clones in 1 flower period, keep the best one. Make it mother plant and keep it. Imagine I do this. 1)Cut monsters clone from original strain on 20 days flower. 2)Gett them back into Veg, Growing. Then keep the best clone in Veg period for a big mother plant. 3) I make clone from this big mother plant. 4) I put them directly in flower period 20 days, 5) Get them back in veg state for 1 month then final flower period . My question is: All my clones from this big mother plant will be exacty the same or different ? Tell me if my message is confusing or you dont understand, np )
Veg stage plants have higher levels of rooting hormones present and generally root better and quicker. The deeper into flower you get the higher the flowering hormones and far fewer rooting hormones present in the plant. Take your clone cuts from full veg stage plants just before flipping to flower. While monster cropping looks good in theory the plants can actually only support so many nice cola tops before quality degrades IME. Harvest is another factor you need to consider as trimming 500 tiny heads or 16 fat ones is going to take a hell of a lot longer. I grow outside under the sun and I could let the plants go wild but half of that would be tiny scruff that I'd discard anyhow so it gets removed when I skirt, and strip clean the lower 1/3rd of the plant in early flower. They will all be a little different all clones grow slightly different depending on the branching but a monster mother can produce 50 or more clones
Any clone can become a large mother plant, has absolutely nothing to do with whether it's a clone taken in veg or one taken in flower. Instead of wasting loads of time reveging, just spend a little extra time during veg to get the training right. A little over 4 weeks from germination. Clones taken 4 days before flipping. Plants after taking clones and completing pre flip strip.
I agree that's why I don't monster clone anymore they are a good idea if you have only 1 tent and want to do perpetual growing
LOL Monster clone,, wtf does that mean ? These are all clones. I only clone off a mother plant that is veg cycle.
