Money w/ paperclip stuck in subwoofer * HELP *

  1. So basically I have a Sony ___ stereo system. Being the stupid person that I am I put 35$ held together by a paperclip inside the speaker.. Except it when to the back... and then when i tried to get it out I lost it completely because its at the back somewhere. I'm guessing the paper clip is stuck to the magnet.
I've tried blasting it on full volume, didn't help.
    I've tried a coathanger, didn't help.

I can't seem to figure out how to open it either :/ I've tried everything I can think of, if you guys could help me out i'd consider you a god. NOTE: I don't want to dammage the speaker/subwoofer whattevr you want to call it. Thanks ALOT.

  2. I would say if it's all the way in the back make a small cut in the back and make the money fall to the bottom or something but make a small hole in the back the hole won't if any effect the sub itself worth a try anyway

  3. unscrew those four allen heads on the edges..

  4. Yea, bust out the screwdriver.

  5. I did that once, but it was a hacky sack (last one).

Have fun, those things are a pain to put back together.

  6. I'm 90% sure there fake and i'm pretty sure there plastic, I tried using a allen key:/ just ripped it apart

  7. what about the ones around the speaker itself, like, take off the gaurd, and pop out the speaker.

  8. Have you pried out those rubber feet? Are there screw heads or anything under them?

EDIT: What's the model number of the stereo? You might find (dis)assembly instructions on the Web.

  9. AHAHAHAHAHAHAA thats classic stonerism +rep

  10. Ok; model is MHC-GX450, from what i'v seen there is no disasssembly instructions. But i suck at research :p feel free to help out. Btw there is nothing under the rubbed feet

  11. Can't find much. But you're not alone:

LMAO. Sorry, but that's just funny. What're the odds? Pretty good, apparently. Does it have a big hole in it or something?

  12. Try under the rubber feet, if theres no screws under there, or any where you can see to open it up, I'm willing to bet the plastic face plate will pull off and there is something under there. There has to be some way to open it, how the fuck did sony put it together?

  13. Ummmm, I dunno maybe take like a high powered vacuum and try to suck the money out? Or like go to the store and get a high powered magnet and try that. Or just like shake it around as hard as you possibly can until it falls out, be creative :D

  14. I guess I'm stupid or something but um.... What damage does the paper clip do if you just leave it there? Does it rattle or some shit?

  15. lol I think he wants the money not the paperclip

  16. I gotta say tore it donw, get ur money, buy stuff and make urself a costumade speaker

lots of fun and a piece of your imagination and creation... =)

  17. It sounds like the faceplate is probably glued over the rest of it. I wouldn't recommend taking it off. Your best bet as someone said earlier would probably just be to cut a small square out of the back, just make sure to do shallow cuts so nothing inside gets damaged.

  18. hey you have my stereo. i dont know how to open that sub, i've lost some pot i stashed in it a while back and havent seen it since hehe.

  19. Yeah, if you use a rotozip (or a dremel or something), you could probably just cut most of the back off, then glue it back on later.
