I havent seen the movie but the quote still has meaning. I would say its quite real in fact so real it measures your success in society (however fucked up it may be) In my opinion its more of a symbol than anything, people use it for power and control. The more of this you have, the more power/control you have. Too bad the world cant just share.

I agree with that statement. Unfortunately, humans are subject to greed and greed makes none of that sharing stuff possible. Oh well, we are an inferior species. We will soon destroy ourselves and a new species will reign. Maybe they will do better. Who knows.
Yeah, humans are WAY to smart for there own good. It feels like as the world ages greed becomes more and more common. People just want and want, and arent happy with what they have.
I agree with your statement for the most part, except for the "smart" part. I think we are less intelligent than we should be. Look how easily we are thwarted by something like money. "Human nature" is a bunch of bullshit, dying with the knowledge that you had an excellent perception of life is #1 on my bucket list.
Well i see our intelligence in 2 different ways. We have built this inudstrial world that is slowly polluting the world yet, making things completely convenient. Its hard to call it stupid yet its hard to call it smart. Which is why i say were too smart for our own good, meaning were so smart that it hurts us.

Personally I love this quote. What Ray Liotta says right before that though I find more true to life. "Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again, but life goes on." I find that one more applicable to many of us. As for the Money Isn't real thing....I like it in theory but in practice, especially today's society its very hard to conceptualize. Great movie, great quotes.
