haha so i'm really high and i'm not sure if this'll turn out to be a pointless thread, but this amazing thought process just happened in my mind and I had to get it down/share it. I have smoked 4 or 5 spliffs today, and realised I'm not really feeling high. It's wearing off extremely quick, I mostly just feel normal. And then I realised I've been feeling that way for aw hile. Spending a lot of money... Smoking a lot basically. But then I find this out... (Marijuana and the Brain, Part II: The Tolerance Factor) So that explains it. I mean. It's obvious. But like. it says people mistakenly think they can overcome tolerance with excessive dose. But you can't. it stops you!!# # I've been feeling like the amount I have to smoke to get the same effects as the old days, are making my life... nota s great as it could be. I am a little overweight, bad fitness, been a little demotivated for a while and... been smoking almost every day for a year. I suddenly realised...... FUCK! iT'S LIKE... Well, it's testament to how safe mj is. It's basically saying to me 'ok, thats enough... youve had a lot and its cool and everythings amazing but you need to sort your shit out and have funb doing that! don't forget your life. Let me ENHANCE your life . I'll be here when you get back in a month or so',## mj and my body working together to protect me perfectly, Wow.... t break coming up i think. lmao. it feels like I just had one of those "visions of god" from historical times. t break coming soon perhaps???
You can overcome tolerance with an excessive dose. If you tbreak, it's because you don't want to keep spending money on more weed. I usually ween down my tolerance when it's too high by using a one hitter..
How would you directly refute what the article said about it then? I mean it says that the higher the dose over time, the less receptors will be made available to you over time. Cheating it with an excessive dose means the excessive dose will stop working as well. it places a very fixed ceiling in accordance with your dose. i can smoke a spliff in an hour or i can smoke 4 i feel the same
The higher the dose over time, the less receptors will be made available to you over time, but they will still be there and will still serve their purpose. Someone who was been smoking for 30 years straight will still get high, they just need to smoke a lot. I don't think they were saying your receptors will stop processing THC completely. anyways idk haha
