Mom smokes

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by big18, Aug 11, 2011.

1. So yesterday me and a couple friends got some cigars(no weed :( ) and we needed a lighter. So I go inside and get my moms. As I'm walking down I see resin on it and it smells like weed. And earlier I opened up the filing cabinet and it smelled so much like weed. Just thought I'd share :hello:
2. Have you guys ever talked about weed? Maybe you could try and smoke with her.

I wish my mom smoked; I think it would be fun and a good bonding experience to smoke a blunt with her. Ah, a son can dream. Or read your story. lol
3. Not really. We've talked about smoking in general but I think I might ask her "Hey, your lighter smells weird." Or something like that.

Why are you smelling her lighter? That makes you sound stoned.
5. Haha because it had some resin on it and i had to make sure :p
6. Story.
7. Bro.
8. Easy way to bring it up. See that first link in my sig? Click it and scroll down reading the titles. Does Mom have diabetes, arthritis, or high blood pressure? Or does she fear breast cancer or Alzheimers? I have studies for that! :D

Let's say she's scared of Alzheimer's (who isn't! )- you say "Mom, look what I found on the web! Didn't you used to use pot now and then, a long time ago?" And you show her this-

Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer's (news - 2006)
Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer's

The article starts off like this-

"THC, the key compound in marijuana, may also be the key to new drugs for Alzheimer's disease. That's because the marijuana compound blocks the formation of brain-clogging Alzheimer's plaques better than current Alzheimer's drugs."

So it is a better prevetative medicine than conventional medicines! And I wonder if tokers CAN get Alzheimer's at all, since -

The activation of cannabinoid CB2 receptors stimulates in situ and in vitro beta-amyloid removal by human macrophages. (abst - 2009)
The activation of cannabinoid CB2 receptors stimul... [Brain Res. 2009] - PubMed result

Beta amyloid plaque is the stuff that gums up your brain in Alzheimer's. There are no human studies yet to say if this removal of amyloid plaque could reverse Alzheimer's, but it sounds good to me! (FYI - There is also a drop in the number of working cannabinoid receptors in the brain with Alzheimer's, so Omega 3 supplements would help matters!) THC activates both the CB1 and CB2 receptors.

(Self to "Granny"- OK, "Granny", get back on topic- lol)

Medical use is way more acceptable than recreational use. ;) And once the subject it brought up in a way Mom feels comfortable with, you can swing the conversation to the way you want it go. :smoke:

Granny
9. ^ What she said.
10. Talk to her about it man. Everyone in my family smokes, and they all share. :D We've even gotten my grandma high on occasion, and she's in her 80's :smoking:
11. Know when she's coming home, and let her "catch" you taking a hit mid living room.... Then just hope for the best.
12. ^ hahah what if this guy is totally wrong and she is completely against pot, actually thats impossible op try this out
13. cool story is cool
14. your mom hot? jk :)
15. Why don't you just walk up to her before dinner, hold out a joint, and ask "Wanna light it up before we eat?"

Better yet, make dinner for her too. She can't say no to dinner you make, and a joint you roll. Unless you can't cook. Then don't do this.
