mollases?

I went out to my local shoprite and purchased some blackstrap mollases. Here is the picture

Now when adding to a gallon of water do i boil the water first? Some of the other online guides to mollases said use grandmas or unsulphured mollases, how do i know if it is unsulphured or not? The only ingrediants that it says on the bottle is blackstrap mollases.

Is this safe to use on my plants? Ill probably do 1-2 tbs per gallon.
