Mold problems after harvest, please help!

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by DaveK, Jan 3, 2004.

  1. Hi All,

after harvesting about 3 weeks ago i suddenly noticed that the weed (which has not dried yet) is full of mold.

Is there anything i can do or is it all wasted?

I would really appreciate any help I could get.

    Thanks,

    David,

  2. You must IMMEDIATELY get the weed to a dry and sunny location - this will stop further molding and should kill the existing mold. I would spread the buds out onto a newspaper and set in a windowsill that doesn't get too hot. 1 or 2 days of this should alleviate most of your problem, but the weed will always have a dank, musty smell.

Throw away any obviously mold-rotted leaves and buds. I would not, under any circumstances, smoke any weed that was still covered with mold - you DO NOT want that shit in your lungs, son.

Next harvest, keep a closer watch on your buds as they dry, they should be checked at least daily...

  4. freezing it then drying out properly...

  5. Thanks man.

    has anybody ever tried this?

  6. can we ask where u had this in the first place that it got mold on it?

any open air area with it spread out on a piece of newspaper should be dry enough except in the most humid environments, like tropical forests.
